How did the speaker's father respond to the church planting call?

Welcome to The Real Church Podcast. Our mission is for you to know the love of Jesus and live out your "God given purpose". Now join us and listen in to the latest message from pastor David John Phillips.

This is my father, David John Phillips senior.

Hello.

And I was at his church before we came here, and he he pastors a church called River of Life in Winnsboro, Louisiana. And when we knew that God had was going to send us, that we knew that God has just put it on our heart and confirmed over and over and over. I just believe in in the kingdom. And and and the kingdom of of Jesus is honor. And I believe God blesses the sent man, not the leaving man.

You know? And so I went to my dad and I said, dad, I believe God is sending us to Clearwater. Where's Clearwater? Don't know. But I believe God's sending us to Clearwater to "plant a church".

And it caught him off guard.

He's like, woah. Wait wait a second.

And just in my heart, I'd made the decision that we're not gonna go until he sends us.

Right?

What ministries has the father established in Winnsboro Louisiana?

So he said, we'll just look into it or whatever, but he he didn't believe it at first. So I began to pray and I asked God, would you show him? 2 months later, God sent a guy who had no idea, nobody knew except my wife, me, Dre, dad, and a couple of people out of state. And the guy came in and confirmed through *Jesus*

Yes.

That this was of him. And dad's like, wow. How did you know that? You know, It was God, only God. And so because of that, they got together, with the elders of our church.

They prayed for us. They sent us here. They pay my salary. Like, it's amazing because we're a brand new baby church. We're we're learning about, you know, how to run a you you you guys are learning about, man, how to give and how to be a part of of making the church go forward.

And and and you're doing amazing, but they're helping us in our infancy, which I'm just so thankful for that. And so because of them, we're able to do what we do here. And because of their radical generosity. So would you guys just give a big hand?

That's good. Thank the Lord. And

and in addition to that, I am who I am today because of this man's faithfulness. He spent 30 minutes a day in the backyard throwing the baseball with me when I was a kid, kicking the soccer ball. And then also, he taught me Jesus when I was 4 years old, led me to Jesus. So because of his faithfulness and because of that, I am standing here today. So I just wanna say thank you.

"Hallelujah". That's good. So glad to be here with you today. I pastor a church in Winnsboro, Louisiana, and it's called the River of Life. We've been there 18 years.

And my passion in my heart is this truth of new covenant *grace* and God's goodness. Now I I teach and I share with pastors and leaders around the world. God has taken that little country church in Winsboro, Louisiana, river of life, and he's just multiplied through it. We run a rehab called Fresh Start. We've been running it for now 15 years.

I have 80 men, praise the Lord, from all over the state of Louisiana. I think a couple of them have come from here, from Clearwater. They come from Texas, and they live with us for 7 months. And God radically transforms their lives off of cocaine and heroin and addictions of alcohol and everything else. And it's just amazing to see these lives transformed by the truth of Jesus Christ.

How does the speaker describe the family's involvement in the new church?

We've seen their families restored, their marriages, their kids come back to them. And then a few years ago, we opened a women's center, and now we have about 35 women that live with us too. They come to the church, they become leaders in the church. It's just amazing. God is good.

His kingdom is ever expanding, And it's expanding. When David John, you know, talked about planting this church and we began to pray, and then just see the answers to prayer. This what you're sitting in is an answer to those prayers. He said, dad, I really believe that God wants us to use Clearwater High School. You know?

And then we began to pray about it. He had a few meetings with the leaders here, and now I see you sitting in Clearwater High School. We began to pray that God would send leaders and some worship leaders and a team to help him get started. And now, I just shared with 50 people in the early service, praise the Lord, with all these leaders who are serving. So we see God's hand at work multiplying, and I want you to know you're sitting in a blessed place right here.

"Amen"? You're sitting in a blessed place. New church only been going about 5 months now here, and yet, you know, God's just reaching people and touching folks and lives being transformed. You know, it's it's just in our it's in our DNA to grow and expand. I have my wife and I have been married 33 years.

Just faithfully, we're committed Christians. We love the Lord. He's blessed us with 5 with 4 children and 5 grandchildren, 1 more on the way in May. And, you know, David John is our oldest son, and then Rachel right here. Wave, Rachel.

Is my youngest daughter. Just tell you a little story there. She just felt led to come with her big brother and help plant real church. She loves to sing and worship. Maybe you've seen her on the worship team.

But I also played soccer, I coached both of them in soccer, and she was on my soccer team in high school. And now, we come to visit when David's getting started here, and she's in the back of the car as we're going to Clearwater Beach over the bridge. And she says, dad, mom, wouldn't it be something if I had a relative that lived in this beautiful place, and he was planning a church, and I could finish my senior year in Florida, you know, wait a minute, dad. I do have a relative in Clearwater, and he has a spare room, and he wants me to help. So, man, we're like, wow.

You know, it's okay. So when David joined down here from the church, but now my youngest daughter in her senior year. So we prayed about it, and God moved our heart. And sure enough, you know, it worked out. And I want you to know, also down here to watch her games, Largo High School in soccer won the district, and now they're going to the regional playoff.

I'm getting to go see her Tuesday. Amen? Hallelujah. But they love it. She's helping with the worship team here, and it's just a blessing to have my children as part of the family of God.

You know, that's still the number 1 way that God wants to lead people to Christ, is for parents to be able to raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Number 1 way. Hallelujah. We'll reach them in all kind of ways through rehab, through church, through city outreach, whatever it takes. But praise God, raising your family up in the kingdom, in the church, coming to a children's church and bringing is is so important.

Hallelujah. Anyway, that's a little bit about our our family. You know, I'll be in Doctor Congo in Lusaka, Zambia next month. We teach this truth to pastors and leaders, and then following that in June, back to Kenya. My team just got back from from India where we sponsor a district there, and and they did 2 conferences of 500 mission pastors there, sharing this truth of new covenant grace.

Church, what I have found over 30 years in ministry is people are tired of religion. Let me tell you something. God is my best friend. We walk and talk together. And me and God hate religion.

What distinction does the speaker make between religion and the gospel of grace?

Religion is man's way of trying to get to God. All these rules, regulations, do this, don't do that, do this, and man, there's always a burden, you know. I've got enough trouble on myself, and now this religious yoke is coming, an ink over my neck, and it feels even heavier than when I started. But Jesus said this, if any of you are hurting or wondering or struggling, he said, come on to me all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest for your souls. Take my yoke upon you.

My yoke is easy, my burden is light. It's just amazing. It's as though, if this center aisle right here is the very will and plan of God for our life, You know? And it's his blessings flow in his will, and he wants to bless. He came to give us life and that more abundantly.

But so much of the world is not in this straight and narrow path that leads to life. It says "wide is the gate" and broad is the way that leads to destruction. And over here, there's a wide way. And over here, there's a wide way. And if you're struggling, if people have been cut up and ripped up, and there's been rejection, and molestation, and hurt, and anger, and divorce, and struggle, and all these things in our life, and you find yourself out here, and you're struggling and wondering why, I want to tell you, it's not because God is mad at you.

The things you're facing out here is not punishment for your sin. The thing you're facing out here in the world and out here in the struggle is we left the way and we don't know the way and we're out here and we leave ourselves open for the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy. I wanna tell you, what is God's attitude toward you if you struggle and if you're hurting and you're involved in sin or there's things messed up in your life? What is God's attitude? It is not anger.

It is not, I want to judge you. I want to punish you. We can know the will of God and the heart of God by looking at Jesus. Jesus is the very demonstration and purpose and exact of God himself. He shows us the father.

Everything he did is the will of the father. And Jesus said this, here is God's attitude to those that are struggling. Come unto me. All who are weary. Say it again.

I want to give you rest. He wants to take us. Praise the Lord. He wants to die. He died in our place for our sin that we might be born into the family of God and walk in the blessing and the grace and the truth of his life.

And then it's so good, it flows out of us. He says, he that believes in me, out of his belly, his innermost being shall flow rivers of "living water". It'll flow out of us and touch the nations. And it's happening, church. It's happening around the world.

Matter of fact, he said it was happening 2000 years ago. Colossians. Praise God. The first screen we're gonna look at, chapter 1 verse 6 says this. And I love this series asking for a friend.

So many good questions we're gonna talk about. In the same way, this gospel is "bearing fruit" and growing throughout the whole world just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood his grace. Not understood his law. Not understood his punishment. But, understood his grace.

*Grace is a person and his name is Jesus*. See, this gospel is bearing fruit and growing. And, I wanna I wanna tell you that, you know, I'm an eyewitness of that. I travel and see. The kingdom of God for 2000 years has been expanding, has been reaching nations.

How is the kingdom of God expanding and growing around the world?

Hey, it's come all the way to "clear water". Amen? The kingdom of God is growing and expanding. You're a part of something much bigger than yourself. You're a part of the kingdom of God and the church of the living God who's expanding the kingdom around the world.

Man, I'm telling you, from what I see, we're in worldwide *revival* right now. Yeah. People are coming to Christ by the thousands daily in the Chinese underground church, even in North Korea, in Iran, in Iraq. Hey, don't just get your news from the news. Man, I live listen to different sources and eyewitness and go and see.

I'm telling you, it's multiplying rapidly. The truth of his grace is being made known, and it's happening fast. And, that's why you're here. God's drawing you in. Amen?

It's multiplying. This kingdom is expanding and growing, and it's happening right here at Clearwater. You're a part of it. Praise the Lord. Jesus said this in John-17.

He had gathered his disciples close to him. Praise the Lord. They were going to, you know, participate in the Passover. And he introduced and let them know, this whole Passover for these couple of thousand years is really all about me. The lamb they're slaying in the temple, praise God, you're gonna see the lamb of God.

While they're slaying the lamb at the temple, that very day, Jesus Christ is hanging on the cross. Amen? He initiates the new covenant, and during that time, while he's gathered them close together, he begins to tell them what's going to happen. They couldn't quite fathom it. They thought at the time that Jesus was coming, the Messiah was going to come to raise an army and overthrow Rome and make Israel a great nation again.

See, at the time when Jesus was walking the earth, if you'd be like walking out on these streets here today, and you'd see Russian tanks and Russian soldiers walking around. See, that's what it was in Israel. When they would walk out on the streets, the Roman soldiers were there. Rome had taken over the whole area. Israel was a nation that didn't have a country of their own.

It was ruled by Rome at the time, and they wanted their Messiah to overthrow. But he's gathering them together and he's trying to explain and tell them, no man, I'm gonna give my life. And when I go, it's gonna be a good thing because I'm gonna send my spirit, the spirit of the living God that's living in me and doing all of these good works. Now I'm gonna multiply myself because my spirit is gonna be in my new body and you are my new body. You're gonna do greater things than I did because Jesus said, I only went from from Judea in the South to Galilee in the North.

But now, you're gonna take this, and you're gonna be my hands and feet and my mouth, and you're gonna spread it all the way to Florida. You're gonna spread it all the way to China. And that's what's been happening. And he said this. He said, father, I pray.

Make them 1. Just like we are 1, make them 1 with us and 1 with each other, so the world may know that you sent me. *Jesus*' prayer had a little pull, don't you know? It's working. The body of Christ is becoming 1.

And here's how we're becoming 1. Let me prophesy to you a moment. In John-16, right before this, he said this. He said, I will send you the spirit of truth. And when he comes, the Holy Spirit in you is going to lead you and guide you into all truth.

Everybody say, all truth. All truth. You see, church, God doesn't have a separate set of truth for each denomination. Now does he? It would be silly to think God has 1 set of truth for the Methodists, another for the Episcopalian, another for the non denominational, another for the, you know, Catholic, and another for, you know, the Pentecostal.

What is the significance of Jesus as the second Adam and new creation?

No. There's only 1 truth, and he's given the spirit to lead us into all truth. So as you grow in truth, and this denomination grows in truth, and these people, if we really love the Lord, we're open to hear the truth. And as we grow in truth, we're growing together, And that's why we're becoming 1. We're becoming 1 by the truth of the word.

And I'm here to tell you that it's happening around the world. It's working. What Jesus prayed and what he said is happening. The church, the body of Christ is working together becoming 1. And because of that, the gospel is exploding around the world.

It's amazing. I'm telling you, you're a part of the winning team. Hallelujah. Matter of fact, Matthew-28, he says this. I mean, he's talked to his disciples.

He died on the cross. He rose again. He spent some time with them. Amen. Just amazing.

He's ascending to heaven. He says this to his disciples. All power in heaven and earth has been given unto me. You see, the first Adam lost it in the garden. He was tricked, deceived, and fooled.

God gave dominion to mankind. Satan came in and we had the fall of man. Since then, every man after has had a fallen nature. Jesus, the bible calls the second Adam, or the last Adam, was tempted the same way, not in the garden, but in the wilderness. And Jesus didn't fall.

He won the victory right then and there, and then carried it out. Hallelujah. Amen? Now, the Bible says, we who believe in him, he gives us the right to become born again, not from Adam with the sin nature. You see, God created everything with its seed inside itself.

An oak tree reproduces oak trees. Okay? You know, a citrus fruit tree reproduces orange trees. Okay? It reproduces its own kind.

Will fallen Adam reproduce its own kind in such a way that you saw the sin of Adam come out in Cain and Abel. And since then, it's been messed up. Jesus came. He had to come. Praise the Lord.

He had to become 1 of us because God gave dominion to man and a man had to win it back. This is deep now. Catch it. Praise the Lord. He gave dominion.

He said mankind shall rule. I want man. You have dominion over all the earth. So if the governments are messed up, if if politics is messed up, if you see division and war and famine and struggle, we can't blame God. God made the earth and put man in charge.

The problem is we had fallen man in charge. So Jesus became a man. He planted his word, the 1 who created all it all. His word was planted as a seed into the earth in the womb of Mary, and Jesus was born. Son of man, 1 of us, but son of God, not from Adam.

Do you see? Praise the Lord. So Jesus came and won the victory. He said, all who believe in me, when we recognize that we have a nature of Adam, when we recognize that we need him, he causes us to be born again from above like him. If any man be in Christ, you are a new creature, a new type of species.

How does the cross remove the barrier between God and man?

We were of the world and now we're born again. We're like a new species. We're the God people. We've been born from above like him. That's deep.

I didn't get many amens. Maybe you don't understand yet. Do you see? When you become a Christian, *Jesus* washes you completely, and you're born again completely, and the righteousness of God is now in you, and his spirit, the spirit of God dwells in you. Now catch this.

Many people don't. Okay? *Jesus* went to the cross to pay for our sin, but the cross wasn't the end goal. The cross was the price. 50 days later, he sent his Holy Spirit to dwell inside his new body.

I wanna say the cross was the price, but the goal that He cleansed you was that so He could live in you. Amen. Now watch this. He couldn't live in you if you were a sinner. God is holy.

He is righteous. In the Old Testament, when they approached Mount Sinai to receive the law that He was given Moses, God warned them, don't let them come close. Put barriers around because if they get too close they will die. God is holy and man is sinful and there's a big barrier between God and man. But God so loved the world, he gave his son to remove the barrier once and for all.

The penalty for sin is death. I'm gonna answer some of these questions. A lot of these questions are about sin. What if I do this? What about if I do that?

Well, really, the problem is not our sins. The problem is our sin nature. And Jesus died to cover it, to pay for it, to wash it away, and circumcise us. Cut out the old nature that was born of Adam. Nail it to his cross.

Bury it once and for all. And you who believe in him, you're born again from above with his righteousness. It's as though he bought the ticket for us to be right with God, for us to make it to heaven, and he gives it to you, but you don't deserve it out of grace, out of his love. So we who are born again, you have the Holy Spirit living in you. And you can be assured right now as I speak to you that if you're a Christian and a believer, you are righteous and you are holy, not based on what you do, but based what on what he has done.

He couldn't live in you if you had a sin nature. Get that. God is holy. Now we still struggle. There still might be sins, but he's taken care of the sin nature once and for all.

We have this treasure in an earthen vessel, and our mind has not been reprogrammed yet. If you've lived a certain way for 20 years and you're born again, your mind doesn't know it yet. So he wants us involved in a bible study. He wants us in a small group. He wants us in a church.

He wants you going somewhere where a pastor is teaching the truth of this new covenant grace and talking to you about who you are in Christ instead of harping on your sin about who you were in your past. That doesn't work. In our rehab, praise God, I don't have to tell those guys how wrong their sin is. They already know it. They've been to a dozen rehabs and have been to prison.

I wanna tell them how good Jesus is, and when they receive that and want and believe it, they're changed from within. Now, I start helping them renew their mind to the truth of who they are. And once they believe it, they start walking it. This is why God has us going and teaching pastors in Africa and all over the world. After a few days of teaching this, and I have a series that explains it so clearly, it's in David John's DNA.

What is the biblical view on sex outside of holy matrimony?

He's been sharing it here. Amen? They come to me and they say, weeping sometimes and just on fire for the Lord, pastor, we repent. We've been trying to manipulate our congregations to living right and doing more because of fear of judgment and obligation. But now we see, we need to teach them who they are in Christ.

And when they know God loves them and he's in them, the the works will flow out naturally. I wanna tell you, praise the Lord. I don't have to have an effort and work hard to love you and share good news with you and counsel you and help you. It's part of who I am. I've been transformed.

Hallelujah. Isn't God good? These words changed my life. I get a little excited about it. Okay?

Is that alright? Glory to God. Asking for a friend. I was reading over a lot of the questions that were coming in. It's amazing.

Some of them I thought was quite funny. And I don't know if this is your question or not, but I found it real funny. I don't know if you anyway, go ahead with that first 1. It says, is it still considered premarital sex if you're not planning on marrying her? Wow.

Okay. I was hoping I was the only 1 that didn't find that funny. You know, Wow. Let me help you out here. Okay?

And then so let me just yeah. Yeah. Let me just give you some word on that. I'll let God answer that so I I won't have to go there. *Ephesians-5:31* says this, for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and the 2 and be united to his wife and the 2 shall become 1.

Here, Paul is quoting in Ephesians from Genesis when God made man and woman, and he made them to be together, and he put them together, praise the Lord, for life. Okay? So the question about this really deals with the whole question of fornication, whatever kind it is, sex outside of holy matrimony. Look. Praise the Lord.

God made sex to unite man and woman together in a beautiful wonderful way. And the 2 become 1, *spirit, soul*, and body. And that's what he intended it for, to be special, to be holy. And when you give it away to this 1, that 1, the other, it becomes like it's not so special, not so holy, and you're giving yourself yourself away to really to someone who's not gonna be your spouse for life. And you know what?

To me, this is really proof that God is real. Cause we, me in the past, a coach and a high school teacher and all, we see so much trouble in the world with sex outside of marriage. We see kids coming up now, you know, the guy used, abused this 1, that 1, the other, left this girl pregnant. Now, you know, she's having trouble going to college or getting a job because she's gotta take care of the baby, and they end up in poverty and struggle. Oh, I don't know if that's your pastor that's happened.

With God, he can fix that and help you and bless you anyway. Amen? Or, you know, it's just 2 people, they get they get when it come together like that, he made it special. And when you go from 1, it just rips you apart because when they leave, they're ripping part of your soul out too. The 2 become 1 and it's holy and it's right.

How does the gospel address past sins and the finished work of the cross?

So just let God answer that question for you through the word. Okay? But then the the next verse, he says this. He says, praise the Lord in Ephesians-5:32, but this is a profound mystery. I'm not just talking about man and woman.

See, God, through his word, Jesus left heaven to come down and be 1 with his wife, the bride of Christ, the church. He's 1 with us. And it's special and holy. And he'll never leave you or forsake you, So we should never leave or forsake each other. Amen?

Whatever has happened in your past, you can be forgiven. But from here on out, let's do it right. Good enough? Hallelujah. We'll go on from here.

I wanna share this with you. Okay? Another question came up. Can I smoke weed? Is *Jesus* going to punish me?

Was part of that question. *Ephesians-5:18* says this, do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery, you know, which is, you know, excessive immorality, excessive sensuality, anything in excess out of control, you know. Do not get drunk. Look, the point is, God gave you a mind and he wants it to be clear. I work with so many folks that's mind's been foggy for so long.

Man, I I get testimony saying, wow. You know, pastor, I gave my life to Christ. Now when I walk outside, I see the sky and the trees differently. Yeah, man. You got some fog out of there.

Know, so so the substances, the alcohol and stuff just makes things foggy. God doesn't want you making decisions with a foggy mind. He wants you to make decisions by your spirit. Amen. Praise the Lord.

Good enough? Let's move on. But then he says, will God punish me? And I wanna stop here for just a moment. Let me tell you something.

Jesus paid for the sins of the whole world 2000 years ago. Let me drive this home a minute. Everyone out there who really, some of them, is just living like hell and don't believe in Christ, don't haven't followed him, do you know their sins are paid for already too? Before they come to Christ, the sin has been paid for. Watch this.

Now let me explain. I don't want anybody getting the wrong idea. 2000 years ago, the lamb of God was slain for the sin of the world on the cross. All of the punishment for any of our sin fell on him so it won't fall on you. So if folks are out there in sin now and we struggle with different things, whatever, the sin is already paid for.

So the good news, the gospel we want to go to them is this. Not when they're struggling, man, you keep living like that, you're gonna "bust hell wide open". That's how they say it in the country where I'm from. Know? You're gonna bust hell wide open.

Alright. So, no. If you keep you keep sinning, this is gonna happen. God's gonna judge you. God's gonna do it.

That's not good news. The good news is this. Let me tell you something, man. Do you know that 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ paid for this sin already? And He loves you so much, he removed the barrier between you and God because he wants you to be in part of his family.

That's the good news. The sin is already paid for. And when they recognize, yes, I'm a sinner and I wanna believe what Jesus has done for me and when they receive the good news that Jesus is the son of God and he died for their sin and he wants them to be part of his family, they can believe it and accept it and hallelujah. When they do, amen, they receive the gift that was already paid. It's like a gift, a Christmas gift that's under the tree of the cross.

Hallelujah. And it's there, and it's paid for, and it's ready, and it's wrapped, but you have to believe it to take it in. So the good news is already done. It's a finished work on the cross. It's finished.

What is the difference between sin and sin nature regarding free will and reprogramming?

It's final. It paid for our sin yesterday, today, and forever. If it didn't pay for future sin, none of us could have been saved because we were all born in the future from when it happened. That makes sense? Amen?

So it's paid for and done. We just have to present it in a way, hallelujah, that they would believe it and receive it. And when they receive it, amen, they're born again a new creation. Glory to God. Now a lot of other questions.

You know, some of this says talk about wondering about God. Why did he do this? Why did he do that? You know, listen. Listen.

If your adultery lead to your divorce, and then you're paying lawyers and you're fighting back and forth who gets custody of the kids and all, is that struggle you're going through punishment from God? Did God do that? Or is that struggle you're going through just the left error of your own ways where Satan cut you up? God created to be together forever. Amen?

If you if you get drunk and drive your car down the road, and because your mind's not clear, you go off the road and you hit a tree, can we go to the funeral? Do I preach to the family and say it must have been God's will that that boy died? It's not true. It wasn't God's will. It was God's will for that marriage to last.

It was God's will for that boy not to get drunk and hit the tree. We we sometimes make them with the error of our own ways. We get out of the will of God. We're out here in the broad way and we open ourselves for Satan to cut us up. See, God could make everything perfect.

If he made everything perfect in your life and made you follow the blessed way and stay on this straight path, we'd all be robots. But he gave man a free choice, because love must have a choice. Baby John said it so well the other day. Amen? It's not a choice, it's not love.

He gave us free choice. It is his will for all to come and to know him. But, he gives man the choice. And unfortunately, in the day, there's so much out there to lead people astray. There's so many people on the wide way.

So many people struggling. And few come, relatively speaking, out of 7,000,000,000 on earth. But I'm telling you, they're coming more and more faster and faster. God loves you so much. He wants to bless you.

You see, says though, you know, we sometimes try to fix our self. We wonder and we struggle with all these questions about sins. Let me reiterate again, it's not about sins, it's about the sin nature. That's what he wants to fix once and for all. It's like as though we brought a pig in from the mud.

I live in the country. I've seen it before. Muddy, smelly. Bring them in. Wash that pig up as best we can.

We'll make it all shiny. Put a ring in his ear and his nose and a ribbon around. Spray some perfume and let some girls take some pictures with them. So beautiful. As soon as you let the pig go it's going out to the mud.

Why? Because it's in his nature. So the real problem is not discussing all the time and beating people over the head in the churches about their sins. The real problem is our nature has fallen from Adam and we must be born again with a new spirit, a new life in Christ Jesus. And when you are begin born again, you can know, but I'm telling you right now that your sin has been washed and buried once and for all and you are a new creation and that's who you are.

If you still struggle, the problem is your mind has been so conditioned to the old way of thinking and being negative, we must **reprogram your mind*. It's like you've been plugged into IOS 6 and it's trying to get time to get IOS 10. So we unplug your brain from the computer of the way you used to live and think and come over here and plug it into the kingdom* way. Amen. Amen?

So you need to be reprogrammed. I'm telling you, church, I love you. I see brothers and sisters in Christ. God wants to say in you, those who believe have been given their life to Christ, you are holy and righteous, and what's in you is gonna come out and flow out to others. The problem sometimes we have is we need to renew our mind to the truth of what's in us.

How can believers partner with the church to expand the kingdom and respond to the invitation?

Right now, around the world, this truth from the Holy Spirit is being taught to churches all over the place. Hundreds of thousands of them. And the body of Christ together is growing in truth. We're growing as 1 and the world's gonna see Christ clearer than ever before. You're a part of this revolution.

Hallelujah. That started 2000 years ago. Hey, get involved. Sign up online for 1 of those classes. Start learning and growing who you are in Christ.

He wants us to come together and through local churches, reach out to your community. But bigger than that, in this young man right here, I know him. We raised him. His heart is bigger than just praise the Lord. It's clear water, but it's also the nation's.

Did you know he's about to finish a doctorate in global evangelization? Do you know he's traveled to India with me and Africa with me? Do you know what's in him, praise the Lord, is gonna reach this community and partner with other churches and be kingdom minded and expand till Jesus comes back? Folks, I know this some think this is a small beginning and it is. It started out in a high school, but I'm challenging you to partner with him faithfully with this church and see what God's gonna do.

He needs some folks to join together and say, yes, I'll be faithful through the hard time setting up and tearing down at the church, being a part of serving with the children, serving here, being coming to be a part of this small group, sowing of my first to regularly and faithfully increasing the budget so that they can expand. I wanna be a part of what's happening in the kingdom. God is planning me here, and we're gonna move forward. Amen? Amen.

Thank you, Lord. I give you praise for the truth of your grace. Lord God, in the name of Jesus, I just pray right now. Lord God, there's people here, Lord, they're hearing your truth, and maybe they're not right with you. Maybe they've been away a while, maybe they've never given their life to you.

But they hear the truth of your word and Lord, they wanna respond and say, yes, Lord. Lord, you have died on the cross for me, I believe it. Teach me your ways, Lord. I wanna follow you. If that's you right now, praise God, we're gonna close this service.

I wanna pray for you with heads bowed, eyes closed, just between you and God. You just slip up your hand and say, yes. I wanna be right with God through my faith in Jesus Christ. Just hold your hand up. Anybody in the service at all?

Hallelujah. I see you at hand. We love you. I see that 1. There's another.

Anyone else? Just keep your hand up high for a moment. You're saying, I want to get right with God. I want to I believe this message. I wanna receive it.

Hallelujah. I wanna pray with you right now. Hallelujah. If the whole congregation would just pray this with me. Father God, we recognize we had a sin nature.

*Jesus* died to wash it away, to bury it, that I might be born again, a new creation, *holy* and righteous based on what he has done for me. I receive what you have done. Fill me with your spirit. Lead me into all your truth. We love you, Lord.

Amen. I have enjoyed my time with you. Praise the Lord. And we've enjoyed it being with you, David John. I'm looking forward to Rachel's soccer game Tuesday.

God bless you all. Alright brother. Happy New Year. That's good. Alright.

Praise the Lord. That's good.
