You are called to be a fisher of people, not a keeper of your fears. When doubt creeps in, remember that Jesus commissions you despite your weakness and promises to be with you always. Step out in boldness today, trusting that His authority is greater than your anxiety.
Well, good morning, Real Church. Good morning. You guys having a good weekend so far? Yes. Amen.
Well, this is this is the event that really started the momentum that we've seen in people giving their life to Jesus outside of a Sunday morning at Real Church. It has always happened since we started because it's been a part of my DNA, but it's it's really this is the event that we did last year that that helped to multiply this culture throughout the church. We did it, I think it was towards the July, July. And from this event, I dedicated a year of my life every Tuesday to prayer, evangelism, and discipleship. And so that ended as the as of the July.
The goal was to set up a Belong ministry in our church, and for that ministry to be multiplying and helping to create the culture of evangelism and discipleship throughout our church. And it's happened. How many of you guys have been to Belong? Almost everybody. Many of you are consistent in Belong.
How many of you guys have led someone to Jesus? You've led somebody to be born again in the last year. It's amazing. See, for those of you that haven't, this is going to equip you and push you forward. And those of you that have, this is going to continue to multiply what you already know, this whole this whole thing.
I think since we we started Belong, the Belong ministry, we hired now we have staff that is running our Belong ministry, Robbie and and Jenna, which are amazing. And since since you guys came, how many people have given their life to Jesus just through Belong outreaches? Most updated figure that you got. Most updated, not even this week, which is still over 20. So it would be around 2 50.
Around 250 people since March. Outside of Sunday, through you guys, which is a major deal. So we invited our friends from 30 third Company to come here. They're going to be carrying a lot of these sessions. Me and me and Robbie and Mike will be the main speakers, but you'll hear testimonies from the Jesus Year interns, which we have 3 of our own, Jerry, Heidi and and Daniel, but then we also have the 3 3 Jesus Year interns from Fort Worth that came in for this, which will be leading some of the teams as we go out, which will be amazing.
I would introduce them, but you've probably already met them because they're out there and you've you've shake shaken, shaken, shaken, have shook, I don't know what it is, their hands and whatnot. But everybody say hey to Mike Gales. We call him prison Mike. And and for Robbie, we call him Robbie the reaper, which and then and then you have Jerry and Heidi Hunter. They're the hunters.
But you'll see why we call him prison Mike, I think, in his testimony tomorrow. Maybe. Maybe not. We'll see. He's full of Jesus.
He's full of Jesus, and he runs the Jesus year out of Fort Worth for 30 third company, which we're very excited and thankful for how 30 third company has helped to equip our church for evangelism. Amen? Now remember, if you're part of our church, you've heard me say this over and over, But the role of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, *Ephesians-4:11*, Jesus gave these gifts to the church, and their role is not to do ministry. *Ephesians-4:12 says their role is to equip the saints for the works of ministry*. Right?
So this whole thing is for the evangelist, those that are walking in the role of evangelist, to equip you for the works of evangelism in your life because every believer is supposed to be walking in that in their daily life and be prepared and ready to share the gospel wherever you are at any time. Amen? Amen. So a couple of of things that I want you to know before we get started or as we're getting started. Let's go to Mark-4.
This is a reminder, but it's a very important reminder for you. Mark-4:24-25. It says, this is Jesus speaking, and Jesus said to them, pay attention to what you hear. With the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you. For to the 1 who has, more will be given, and for the 1 who has not, even what he has will be taken away.
With the measure you use, it will be measured to you. This is the principle that I've shared with you over and over, and I'm gonna share it again because it's important. What you honor will be multiplied in your life and multiplied to you and multiplied through you. What you dishonor will dwindle. How do you honor?
Well, in this setting, you honor by giving weight to the words that are spoken. And with the measure you use, it will be measured under you. So if you measure these words in inches, you will have inches measured to your life and through your life. If you measure these words in feet, you'll have feet measured to your life and through your life. If you measure these words in miles, then you'll have miles of the fruit of the messages spoken and the things done today measured into your life and through your life.
For those who have, more will be given. Now what is that saying? Some of you, this, what we're saying, you might have heard a 100 times. Great. Hear it again as if you're hearing it for the first time.
Don't check out as if you've never heard it before. Lean in on your seat, even if you've taken the notes on these scriptures. If I quote John-3:16, the way that you honor it and you measure it as if it matters is you write it down again even though you know it. You flip to it in your scripture even though you've already done it 1000000 times. You underline it again even though you've done it, and it will be measured even more in your life and through your life.
The measure you use, it will be measured unto you and multiplied. I wanna I wanna go back to the basics in everything and don't treat the basics as basic. The reason Kobe Bryant was the best at his time before he died for that decade before, some might disagree. But for the most part, 1 of the best, if not the best, is because he never got bored with the basics. But he went back to the the drills that he would do in high school or that high schoolers would do.
He'd do those exact same drills over and over and over, and there'd be this little minutiae thing that he would be doing a little different or a little more intense than he did the time before and continue to grow better and better and better. And no matter how mature you get in Christ, no matter how long you've been following him, 30 years, 50 years, no matter if you're preaching the gospel around the world, never get bored with the basics and never just assume you've already heard it so you don't have to take notes, you don't have to underline, you don't have to flip to it. Because the better you get at the basics, the better you'll be at communicating those basics in a way that every single person in front of you can understand and receive the anointing. Because what you treat is valuable, those who listen to you will be more likely to honor it as valuable as well. Amen?
Amen. Okay. So as we go through this, same thing. Matthew-4:18-20. And if you don't have a Bible, a paper Bible, don't feel condemned.
We we a lot of people use their phones. I'm just assuming you're not being distracted by the other stuff. Maybe you've put it on airplane mode, but you're going to the places. You're you're underlining it with your thumb, which is cool. And you're you're taking notes the best that you can.
*Matthew-4:18-20*. While walking by the Sea Of Galilee, he saw 2 brothers, Simon, who was called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea for they were fishermen. And he said to them, follow me, and I will make you "fishers of men". Immediately, they left their nets and followed him. And going on from there, he saw 2 other brothers, James, the son of Zebedee, and John, his brother, in the boat.
Zebedee was their father. And they were mending their nets, and he called them. Immediately, they left the boat and their father and followed him. I want my life when Jesus speaks to me about something he wants me to do. I want him to be confident that I'm an immediate disciple, that I have that sense of immediately in everything that that I do in the way that I follow him and am willing to leave anything and everything behind because he's my first love.
Amen? They left their business and their father behind and immediately followed Jesus because they knew the importance. They honored the call. Amen? And he said to them, follow me and I will make you fishers of men.
The call to discipleship, the call to following Jesus is following him. The promise is if we're following him, he will make us a fisher of men, a fisher of people. The better and the closer we're following him, the more we will be be becoming a better fisher of people. We will be reflecting our Jesus who is the best fisher of people. Amen?
So in your life, if you're lacking in your ability to fish for people, maybe we've believed some lies that has prevented us from following Jesus in the way that he called us to. This message is going to unearth some of those lies so that you're never again deceived in those ways if you honor and measure this under your life as it should be measured. And then you can also live from the truth instead of those lies and help others to be freed from that. So as a church, not just real church, but as the church, we are better at following Jesus and better at fishing for people. Because Jesus' purpose, he said he came to seek and save the lost.
In first John, it says that he came to destroy the works of the devil, and 1 of the main ways that we can do that is being a good fisher of people in our daily life. Amen? Amen. I say that because I'm waiting on you to say amen because you get it. So if you guys just if you really get it, just go ahead and say amen in my life or talk back to me in in that way.
Amen? Amen. Alright. Let's try again. Amen?
Amen. So I want you to know if this is the call of every disciple of Jesus, if this is something that he has commissioned everyone to do, evangelism, sharing the gospel in their daily life, then wouldn't you know that when he gives you the Holy Spirit, his presence, he would empower you to do the very call that he called you to? Evangelism is hard in our flesh, but evangelism is easy in his presence because it's the Holy Spirit who empowers us to do the very thing that he's called us to do. That's grace. Grace is God empowering you to be what you can't be on your own, and to do what you can't do on your own, and on your own, you're a terrible evangelist.
So am I. But praise the Lord, we don't have to do anything outside of grace. But it's by grace and through faith. So when he speaks to us, we have to be willing and pliable enough to immediately leave what we're doing, believe what he said, to obey, which we know that faith comes by hearing, requires believing what he said, and then is completed by obedience. So in the obedience, by grace through faith, that grace is put to work, and we become the best evangelist in the moment because it's the Holy Spirit speaking through us.
We just have to be willing to immediately leave our nets, whatever is going on in that situation, learn to hear the Holy Spirit and obey him because the Holy Spirit is the best evangelist, and he's gonna make that thing easy because he's with us, and that's enough. Amen. Example, testimony of that. On Tuesday, I dedicated every Tuesday of my life for 20 23 July through 20 24 July to go into Belong and doing that, you know. Well, that was done in August.
And I have to let Belong continue to go without me, which is great. So I didn't go this last Tuesday. Instead, I went to Highland Rec Center, went to work out, got done working out. And a lot of times after I get done working out, I'll go on a walk around Highland Rec, which is about a mile a mile track. So I'm walking around Highland Rec and walking by the outdoor basketball courts, and I have this thought in my heart to share the gospel with somebody on the courts.
Immediately, when I have that thought, my flesh is saying, no. Don't do it. There's a little bit of anxiety rise up at the same time. And as soon as I feel that, I know that the flesh is at war with the spirit so that I don't do what I wanna do. Every time I feel that, that's not an alarm bell that I shouldn't do it.
It's actually an alarm bell that I should. Because I wanna do what he's called me to do and he's created me to do. And if the flesh is warring against him, that's probably warring against what he's created me to do, and I wanna follow Jesus. So I wanna be obedient to put that down. So anyway, so I'm like, alright, Lord.
Well, I'm I'm walking by, and and I get to about the end. I'm like and there's this guy coming out. I was like, alright. If he if he turns this this way, that that's the guy. And he turns to get some water.
He turned that way. So I walk up to him. I said, hey, man. I just wanted to let you know Jesus loves you a lot, man. I just really believe he loves you.
Would you have just a moment for me to share the gospel with you? And he kinda looks at his I said, no, no, like, 90 seconds. He's like, yeah, sure. And I said, okay. And so I shared the gospel with him as we're going to equip you to share the gospel.
And he gave his life to Jesus right there. It was easy. All I had to do was obey. This was Tuesday. And so I I after sharing the gospel with him, I was like, man, do do you would you would you be able to come to church this Sunday?
He's like, no. I I work a lot. I work on Sundays. I said, okay. Well, you play basketball on Tuesdays, don't you?
He goes, I do. I said, so if I came back next Tuesday and played basketball with you, would you give me 15 minutes in the Bible with me? He goes, yeah, I will. I said, deal. Because evangelism, once you understand that you're "created for it", it's actually easy in his presence.
But making disciples is hard because making disciples cost your life. It cost your time. Amen? Okay, so then what did I have to do? Well, I don't have any basketball shoes.
So I went to Ross to see because every now and then they'll have some good basketball shoes for cheap. I found me on Thursday, I went and bought some basketball shoes. And and I took those basketball shoes, and I went I had to work out legs that day on Thursday, so I went back to the gym, but I was gonna wear the basketball shoes to break them in. You know? I get done working out in the gym, and I go on my mile walk because that's when a lot of times, I'll spend time with the Lord on my mile walk.
I get back to that basketball court, there's 3 guys playing on the basketball court. And I'm walking by, and I feel a little pain in the left bottom part of my spine, which is not normal for me. I'm like, and then I had the thought. That's a "word of knowledge". So now I have to decide, am I going to do what my flesh doesn't wanna do, which is randomly talk to these 3 guys that are playing ball and interrupt their game, or do I be obedient to the Holy Spirit to get outside of myself and love them in the moment?
So I had already walked past them. So I just stopped, turned around, walked back, walked up to the fence where they are, wait on them to finish their little game of 21. Say, hey, fellas. I don't mean to interrupt. They all 3 walk over.
And I say, I I had a pain in my lower left side, and sometimes Jesus speaks to me because he loves people, and I'm a Christian. Do any of you guys have pain in your lower left side, I believe, of your back? I believe God wants to heal it. And 2 of them said, no. And 1 of them said, that's me.
He walked over. I grabbed his hand, and I prayed for him. He couldn't he didn't immediate like, have pain in that moment. It comes and goes, so I wasn't able to test it. But then another guy said, well, would you pray for me?
I said I said, you know, I will, but first, let me tell you the most important thing. And I asked them, do you know what it means to be born again? And and they said, yeah. I said, well, what does it mean? And they said, wow.
I said, well, let me explain. I explained all 3 of them gave their life to Jesus right there. This was Thursday. So after they gave their life to Jesus, I had my basketball shoes on. They had 3 guys.
I said, do mind if I play 2 on 2 with you guys? We played. My team won the first game, then I got tired. We lost the second game. And and, you know, I'm gonna get to see him on the basketball court, hopefully.
Moving forward, I've invited him to church. It's gonna be a gonna be a good time. But this this is what it looks like in your daily life to step outside of yourself as you're going and be a fisher of men. Amen. Amen?
Amen. Okay. So *Matthew-28*. The end of Matthew-28. You know what it is.
What's it called? The great what? The commission. The great commission. It's not called the "great suggestion".
Yes. It's not called the great suggestion. But a lot of times, Christians treat it as the great suggestion. You know, I just don't I don't feel like let me give you a list of lies as to why people treat the Great Commission as the Great Suggestion. Don't worry, we'll hit the Great Commission in a minute.
But tell me if you've ever heard this before. Number 1, *evangelism* is not for me. You ever heard that before? Evangelism is not for me. And you might have heard it from the church ladies that are the intercessors.
I mean, you can hear it from anybody, but specifically that group, because they got spiritual reasons. Right? Evangelism's not for me. I'm gonna pray for you, so you to go on evangelism. But what's hidden behind that a lot of times is fear.
I like to pray for other people in my closet, but I have anxiety and fear about actually stepping outside of myself and going put into action what I've been praying for. Amen? Amen. Or, oh, me. And if it's, oh, me, I'm not being mean and condemning.
I'm just, like, digging some lies out so that we can replace it with the truth and encourage you forward in him. Amen. Amen? So so the thing is that a lot of people don't realize is most of the time when God puts something on your heart to pray for something, he's inviting you to participate in the answer to that prayer. And so he'll he'll probably have you pray for something and then use you as an example of what it looks like to do the very thing that you're praying for.
And then you have a testimony of an answered prayer, and you have full joy because you're seeing the results of your prayer in your life. And the Bible says when you see the results of your prayer, your joy is complete. Amen? So he wants to give you full joy, so he wants you to participate in those things you've been praying for. But anyway, that's a whole another thing.
Either way, if you say or you've heard said, evangelism is not for me, you're right. It's not for you. It's for them. It's for the lost. And the reason a lot of people don't like evangelism is because it's not for them.
But we're not supposed to live for ourselves. There's a cost to following Jesus. And the cost, Jesus said, if you wanna be my disciple first, you have to deny yourself, which means living the Christ like life means it's not for me. It's for you and it's for them. I'm laying my life down like you laid your life down for me so they can experience the freedom that you gave me.
Amen? Amen. Alright. The cost of following Jesus, that's Matthew-16:24 through 25. You can write that down and go check it out.
Another example of this, this is the way we live. You know, there's a lot of people say, there's another group of people, *evangelism* is not for me. I'm a worshiper. I do worship. What's the definition of worship?
Sacrificing yourself, presenting your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. This is your spiritual act of worship. So if you're a worshiper, that means you're really good at evangelism, because you're really good at laying your life down when you're uncomfortable as an acceptable sacrifice of God. You're really good at saying, my eyes. I give you my eyes, Lord.
I give you my hands. I give you my feet. I give you every aspect of my life as I walk out of the door today as an act of worship to you because I'm a worshiper. Amen? Amen.
This this is teaching people to get in the secret place. It's a part of worship, which is great, but living a life sacrificed unto the Lord in *obedience* because you love him, because you understand his love for you, that is worship. Okay. So that's evangelism is not for me. Well, you're right.
It's for them. So let's lay our life down and follow Jesus and become fishers of men. Number 2, lie you may have heard. You know, pastor, I hear you want me to go on outreach and stuff, but it's just not my personality. I'm I'm more of the introvert type person, or I'm more timid.
It's not my cup of tea because it's not my personality. You ever heard that before? Yeah. Well, the thing is, God created you and gave you a unique personality for a purpose. He did.
But any aspect of your personality that prevents you from walking out the calling of God on your life in the great commission has to die. *Galatians-2:20*. Let's turn there so you can actually see it. I have been, everybody say have been. Have been.
**crucified with Christ**. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me and the life I live, I now live in the flesh. I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. So the life in the flesh I live, I live by faith, not by sight. It's not about me anymore.
I died when I gave my life to Jesus. I was when I I showed that through baptism as I came out of out of the waters. I'm no longer who I always thought I was. I am who he says that I am, and he says I'm a fisher of men. Therefore, any aspect of my personality that is not like that needs to die so that I can learn to be a better fisher of people.
And if my excuse is timidity and anxiety, and I call that introvertedness, then that aspect of me needs to die because the Bible says God has not given me the "spirit of fear" or the spirit of timidity, but of love of power and a sound mind. So what it's my joy and my sacrifice, my joy to sacrifice those aspects of who I always thought I was in order to clearly and more fully follow Jesus, because in my weakness, he is made strong. Amen? So it might be a greater sacrifice for you to walk up and talk to that person. What a beautiful act of worship.
And in your weakness, his power is gonna show strength, and it's gonna be and other people that see you that always thought, man, this timid person, they're gonna see Christ through you more clearly. I'm not saying you have to have to be Kevin Featherston. That's his gift. It's beautiful. But I'm saying you be you obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit, and he will make you a fisher of people.
Amen? Amen. Alright. Number 3. So number 1, *evangelism* is not for me.
Number 2, it's not my personality. We've dealt with those. Number 3 0, let me turn on my airplane mode because apparently, I didn't do that. You ever heard this? I'm I'm just not gifted that way.
I don't have the gift to be able to share like Jerry Hunter. I don't have the gift to be able to share like Chris Donald or like Daniel Achular pastor David. I'm just not gifted in that way. I got great news for you. You hear the great news?
Okay. In Acts-2:38-39. Let's go there. And Peter said to them, repent and be baptized every 1 of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. So you say you're not gifted.
Have you been born again? You receive the gift of the Holy Spirit on the inside? Yeah. And hopefully, you've been baptized in the Holy Spirit and received the power to be a witness? That gift, the gift of the Holy Spirit is all you need because he's the best evangelist in the world.
And he wants to work through you, equipping you and training you and teaching you to be an evangelist in your daily life. Do you have to be in the office of the evangelism to do evangelism? No. But, man, you have the *Holy Spirit* who empowers that office, and he's in you. So, man, he can equip you and empower you for it.
Amen? Amen. Okay. Number 4. There's some in America who say this, you know what, pastor?
Their excuse is, I just I just don't like pushing my beliefs on people. I just I you know, they believe what they believe. I wanna let them do that. And I I I just don't you know, this this is it's a personal thing for them. 1, if I've been born again, I've given my life to Jesus, it should be so personal, it's public.
Because you deny Him before men, He'll deny you before your Father in heaven. You're denying Him before men shows that you don't really know Him. So let that challenge you outside of yourself so that it begins to overflow. Because if you're filled, the only way you know you're filled is that it's overflowing out of your life. Amen?
And so, man, you wanna continually grow in your relationship with Jesus. But number 2, to the 1 that says, I just you know, I don't wanna push my beliefs on people. I'll tell you this, and this is strong. Your silence is pushing them to hell. Amen.
Amen. There's a lot of people that God puts you in front of and invites you to participate in his grand plan of bringing them into relationship with him. And, man, I don't want to on that day when he asked, hey, what about what about Joe Smith? He said, well, Lord, you know, I I didn't wanna push my beliefs on him. He's supposed to be here today.
*John-3:16*, 17, and 18. For God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes in him should not should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his own son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned. Now here it is.
But whoever does not believe is *condemned* already because he has not believed in the name of the son of God. So so it's it's not it's not that, you know, they're already condemned. We're not condemning them. They're already condemned because they don't believe. We're throwing them a life raft saying, hey, Jesus wants to save you from condemnation.
They know that they're condemned. They have a sense of condemnation, guilt and shame, if they've never been born again. And we're giving them the opportunity for freedom from condemnation, guilt and shame. We're giving them opportunity for life. And what they don't know, *Haggai-2:6* says that Christ is the desire of all nations.
So they don't even know that their desire is for the king that we know, and we're introducing them to the 1 that their soul is actually desiring for already. So if we present him the gospel clearly, and we demonstrate the power of the kingdom they're destined to walk in, man, they're they they will hunger and thirst for it and be placed in the valley of decision. Amen? Amen. Amen.
The fifth lie. People say, Pastor, I'm just too fearful. I I have anxiety. I I can't do it because I just I have anxiety. No.
No. Jesus, again, did not give you the spirit of fear. That's a spirit that is attacking you and preventing you from walking in the calling that God has on you. Amen. And you know what Jesus says to you in the midst of your fear?
*John-20*. I want you to see this 1. By the way, all of these points, if you're taking notes, go back, study them in such a way that you can know them when you're feeling these things, but then you can also teach others. *John-20:19*. The disciples, like Jesus, had been crucified, and they don't know that he's resurrected yet.
And they're scared they might get crucified too. On the evening of the of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews. By the way, anything not done in faith is sin. And you can't walk in fear, be held back in fear, and walk in faith at the same time. So they're sitting in a room in sin.
You understand? And Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, I can't believe you're in fear. I can't use you anymore. I gotta find somebody else that's not afraid. Is that what it is?
No. But a lot of times when we feel fear, we make excuses and disqualify ourself. Right? Just because you feel fear, that doesn't mean that is your fear. Yes.
That's the enemy who's afraid that you're gonna walk in the calling that God has for you, and he's projecting onto you what he's feeling. Yes. Yeah. So So good. Good.
When you understand that, you can stand in boldness. Yeah. Yeah. That's right. The enemy's scared.
Yeah. The enemy's confused. The enemy the enemy is is murderous. The enemy is all of these different things, and he's projecting on you, so you think it's coming from you instead of from him. What did Jesus say?
He stood in the midst of them, in the midst of their fear, and he said this, "peace be with you". When he said them this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. And Jesus said to them again, peace be with you. As the father sent me, even so I am sending you.
He commissioned them in the midst of their fear and gave him his peace. When you turn when you feel fear in that moment as I'm walking and I feel my flesh going, no. Don't do it. What's he gonna say? When I turn my thoughts and my attention to the Lord, he says, my peace be with you.
And he says, "go anyway". But pastor, another lie, but pastor, I I I got some doubts. You know, I I'm still wrestling with some areas of this whole Christian faith thing. *Matthew-28*, verse 16. Now the 11 disciples, these are the 11 disciples that were with Jesus for 3 years, went to Galilee to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.
And when they saw him, this is the risen Lord. They're seeing resurrected Jesus. They worshiped him, but some *Doubted*. Doubted. How do you doubt in that moment?
Man, if there's any time Jesus is gonna disown them, it'd be now. So Jesus came to them and said this, I can't believe you're doubting. I can't use you now. I have to find somebody that's less doubtful. No.
He said, all authority in heaven on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples and I will be with you always. He commissioned them despite their doubt. Good. Ain't that good?
Okay. So last but not least, and I'm done. In Matthew-9:35-38. And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. By the way, Jesus gave us his authority, and he healed every disease and affliction.
I wanna learn to walk in his authority. And as a child, when I miss it or I *doubt or I have fear or unbelief*, Lord, help my unbelief and I keep falling forward. Amen? Amen. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them.
Lord, give us your compassion for the crowds. Help us to see people like you see them. Because they were harassed and helpless like "sheep without a shepherd". Then he said to his disciples, the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers or the workers of the harvest are few. Therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into the harvest.
By the way, this was before Jesus died and rose again and commissioned. Now there's hundreds of millions, if not billions of laborers for the harvest. There's many more than there were at this point. But many of those laborers are not working the harvest. I wanna be a laborer who's been commissioned because I've been born again into the harvest field that's actually working the harvest because I'm doing what he said to do.
Amen? Amen. But what does it take? It takes prayer that the Lord of the harvest would send out laborers into the harvest. The word send out is a Greek word.
Eccballo. Eccballo. It means to "cast out", and it's harder than just send out. It's like thrust out. Cast out.
That word is the same word that's used when Jesus is talking about casting out a demon. It takes great force to cast out a demon, and it takes an equal amount of force to cast a person outside of himself and into the harvest field. Amen? Amen. But I'm scared, but I'm doubting.
And in the end of the great commission, Jesus said, behold, I am with you always. When we forget he's with us and he's enough, that's when doubt and fear take over and prevent us from walking in the commission. But when we recognize he with he's with us and he's enough, then we are out of ourself and into his purpose.
