Sermon — Prophecy Dreams and Visions

Prophecy Dreams and Visions

How can believers actively pursue and embrace spiritual gifts like prophecy and dreams in their daily walk?

You are invited to step out in faith and sign up for the prophetic training sessions starting next Wednesday. Don't let fear or past experiences stop you from hearing God's voice through dreams and prophecy. Reach out to the team today to begin activating these gifts in your life.

What makes church fun and how does the speaker honor mothers?

Well, good morning, everybody. Good morning. It's good to see you. Guys, church is fun. Yeah.

You guys ever been a part of a church that was fun? Yeah. Some of you guys went to churches that the only fruit of the spirit they handed out was lemons. You know what I mean? But we but but we have joy.

We have joy in the house. Alright? Listen. I have a 1 of my love languages is is, like, is just, like, razzling each other. Okay?

That's, like, I love the language of God. So I love the body of Christ. I want to say, I want to take a minute since, you know, I have a microphone on Mother's Day. Can tell honor some people. I want to also honor my mother as well.

She was a divorcee when I was very, very young. She spent most of my life raising me single mother, working at an Outback Steakhouse and then going back to school for a nursing degree. It's like mothers are just full of sacrifice. Right? And that's that's what we were talking about this morning.

I wanna take a time to honor the mother of the house here, which is pastor Courtney. And she does a good job, man. And then, of course, I wanna take this moment to honor my beautiful, lovely wife. And it's such a blessing to have her at home raising my kids. Yeah.

So anyway, I get to preach on something fun today. Normally, I'm like, I like I have all these heavy messages. I'm trying not to cry. I think you know, the only person I think cries more than me is Bart. It's very bad.

I'm thinking it's heavy, Bart. I'm a bitch. He's already nervous. You don't expect it with bar. You see this big guy.

He's crying. For me, you kinda think I'm gonna burst into tears any minute. So yeah. So what pastor David reminded me of is that you guys don't don't know me. So I snuck up here.

I grabbed the microphone. I'm out of here. My name is Gabriel Mullins. I've been coming to this church for about 5 4 or 5 years. And I'm an elder at the church, and I'm also the in charge of the prophetic team, prophetic ministry at this church.

So that's been something we've been getting off the ground for 9 months or so, and it's been incredible. How many of guys were here Friday at in con? Yes. Was it amazing or what? It's doing good.

We had a time where we actually got to all participate in prophecy, and it was absolutely amazing. And the testimonies that came out of just 1 night, just saying, hey, we believe God. We believe what the Bible says. Let's just go ahead and see if see if what we believe actually comes to pass, and then and then it's just amazing test of ways. So today, I actually get to talk about prophecy.

What is the definition of prophecy and why should it not be despised?

I'm gonna talk about prophecy, dreams, and visions. Let's go to *1 Corinthians-14* chapter 1 or or chapter 14 verse 1, I think. *1 Corinthians-14:1*. It says this, pursue love and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. I brought this up on Friday.

So interesting to me that, you know, the spiritual gifts, if you know the list, it's like healing, *faith*, performing of miracles. You know? You know, I know I know a missionary friend of mine who he's in The Middle East. And when when he went there, when he first showed up, it's it's in a closed down country. He's there teaching English, but he's actually bringing the gospel.

And there was a drought going on. It's like 3 years of a drought. And the it it was really hard on the economic times. It was really hard on the on the region and the people. He he found out about this.

And something rose up in him. Some faith rose up in him, and he said it's gonna rain this weekend. And he said that to his clasher. And then after he after he got done, he's like, woah. What did I just say?

So he spent the weekend worshiping the Lord, praying God, bring the rain. He's going up on he said he said he'd go up on the roof and jump around and dance before the Lord. He said he called it his "rain dance". And and that weekend, rained. It broke it broke the it broke the drought.

And then it it caused a lot of people to come to know *Jesus* because he because he said this that's called a miracle. Okay? Maybe you don't believe in miracles, but I believe in him. And that happened. And yet Paul says, especially they've been made prophecy.

It's interesting. You know? I would think you would say, especially especially miracles. Let's see. So something about prophecy is actually extremely valuable to us.

Something about prophecy is very, very important. First of all, let's not go on without at least just giving you a quick definition. What is prophecy? It's hearing it's a it's a message from the Lord. Okay?

When when you hear something from the Lord, if you're called to give something from the Lord, it's a "word from God". That's what a prophecy is. Okay? It brings with it the entire package of the Lord with it. That's what good prophecy does.

It's a message from the Lord given in the way that the Lord would give it. Okay? And and still 1 Corinthians-14 verse 20 and 21, it says this, do not despise prophecy. Or it says in 1 version, do not treat prophecies with contempt, but "test them all" and hold on to what is good. So don't despise prophecy, but test so prophecy is so good.

Why would anyone despise it? It's like, why does Paul have to say that? When about, I don't know, 6 months ago or a year ago or something, we we were we were here. My wife was hosting that day, and somebody came in. You know, it's like her first time at the church, and she wanted to prophesy to my wife.

So, you know, was gonna tell it's crazy. And so my wife my wife comes down, and my wife says, Lord, before she's gonna do it, she says, Lord, should I receive this prophecy? And as soon as she prayed that, she smelled something disgusting. My wife's very prophetic. So, a lot of times, the Lord will speak in ways you don't expect.

That's gonna be 1 of the themes of the message. So the the woman begins to prophesy, and she says, you know, you're you're so good, and you're doing so great, and God sees you, and you're you're you're doing you know, you have a incredible ministry, and he wants to use your strong, but there's something kind of holding you back. There's something like, not it's kind of constricting. It's constricting your your your ministry, and it's like I think it's your pants. Oh.

How should believers test prophecies and what is the purpose of New Testament prophecy?

Your pants are too tight. They're constricting your ministry. I'm sorry. That is not a story. I had to tell the story.

It makes me cringe. But I gotta tell the story because there's a because some of you haven't experienced a reason why you would despise prophecy. Why you're gonna go, woah. Woah. Woah.

Now if Mariah was, like, naive or, like, it maybe it was her first time in the church, maybe she would have thought that God was telling her, you're you're wearing the wrong pants. God God's gonna take get off the throne and take that time to tell you this. It's like so what does he say? Don't despise prophecy, but instead, **test every prophecy** and hold on to what is good. Okay?

So I and I would normally kind of move by this point quick, but I really wanna hit this hard because I'm in charge of the prophetic team here, and we hit this hard in our training. Okay? That we test every prophecy, and you if you receive a prophecy in this church, you have all the freedom within yourself to test that prophecy. You don't have to be this open book that just receives everything that everyone says. Yeah.

Some people are gonna be wrong. Right. Some people are gonna be works based and and religious based, and they're not even gonna really understand the heart of God for something. So you need to test it. So how would you test it?

I'll just give you quickly 3. 1, test with the Holy Spirit in you. Okay? First thing what Mariah did said, God, should I receive this? She said it before she even heard it, and she already knew the answer.

You know? This this is gonna be crap. I appreciate it. Alright. Second, test it against the word.

If somebody's telling you something that doesn't line up with the word of God, of course, that's not it because the word of God is the word of God. Right? So, like, there's never gonna contradict each other. And number 3, if you're if you're confused about it, ask somebody. Ask somebody.

That's why we have a prophetic team in our church. We have a from developing and we're trying to develop through the Lord, a healthy prophetic culture, and this verse is, like, the cornerstone of a healthy prophetic culture because it allows us to get get the the weird stuff out. Because I'll tell you what, you start letting everybody prophesy, there will be some weird stuff popping on you. It just is what it is. *Amen*?

Those of you who've seen them, you know? So let's talk about New Testament prophets prophecy for a second. You know? I used to think that, you know, I when I when I used when I used to get around prophetic training and and people that are learning to hear the voice of God, you know well, let's actually, let me read this verse real quick. *1 Corinthians-14:3*.

But the 1 who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging, and comfort. Okay? Edification is like strengthening. Exhortation is like encouraging and comfort. Okay?

How does the Holy Spirit's conviction differ between the Old and New Testament eras?

Well, okay. If I like, let me just put it this way. If I was a member of the body right? They call us the body of Christ. Yeah.

If I was the member of the body, I would be the mosque. I already know that. Like, I have this thing in me where it's like, if something needs to be said, I'll be the 1 to say it. You know? Like, I'm not gonna, like, let something that needs to be said go on a second.

It's just like, it's it comes out of me. That's actually the prophetic nature. So when I started getting around prophetic training and everyone's saying, well, it's just all about encouraging each other, brother. And you just are saying good things, happy. And when I look at you, see a flower.

And I'm like, what about the old testament, man? Where these prophets were getting up and they're saying, hey. You need to repent. This thing is wrong. What is this?

You know? Get these idols out of here. Like, I didn't get it. And I'm kinda like, what what is the deal with this? But then God showed me, okay, what what this is what this means.

I don't know if you guys remember, but during bird's message, you remember he preached righteousness. So what he preached is that the Holy Spirit convinced the believer of righteousness. The holy the holy spirit convicts the world of sin. Okay? So let's think about the Old Testament.

There was no Jesus at that time. Before it was before Jesus. So back then, the only thing that the Holy Spirit was convicting people of was of sin. When they had sin, he was bringing it up. That's what the Holy Spirit was speaking.

Now we had Jesus. He went to the cross. He died for our sins. He became sin so that we would not so that we could become the righteousness of God. So today, Holy Spirit is convicting you of your righteousness.

What's the difference? Let's say that I *sin*. Right? *God* says it like this. Dave, that's not you.

You're righteous. Come out of there because that's not you. I've made you completely clean. You don't have to live in that anymore. Come up.

Come up. You are righteous. It's completely different. Do you hear the difference in the in the tone, the taste of it? So now when we're prophesying to each other, we prophesied we're prophesying to little Christ like ones.

That's what Christians you have Jesus in you? I have Jesus in me. How can I prophesy sin over you? I can't. See, he became sin.

How does prophecy build the church and reveal truth?

That's God. You were righteous. Yeah. So this is why prophecy **builds his church**. When we speak, sometimes we believe the old thing.

We believe that we're in sin. We believe we believe the lies of the enemy. And prophecy comes and says, uh-uh. It digs through that dirt, and it gets that little pull nugget and says, look. This is what's in you.

That's what prophecy does. Yeah. I I asked if I could use this as an example. Jessica and Dominic, when do you guys Yeah. I you go, oh, where's God?

Makes you fall down in the face of where you should go. It's good stuff. So you guys probably know this verse, but, you know, Peter on the date of Pentecost, he quotes the prophet Joel, and he says in Joel he says that Joel says that the Lord says that in the last days, I, being the Lord, will pour out my spirit on all flesh, and your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will Dream dreams. Your young men will Seek their dreams.

Prophecy, dreams, and visions are the **last days language** of the Holy Spirit. Prophecy, dreams, and visions are the last days language of the Holy Spirit. That means those are the thing those are the tools he utilizes to communicate his will and all truth. Remember, he says, he will guide us into all truth. So Holy Spirit is guiding you in all truth, and he's using prophecy, dreams, and visions.

I think dreams and visions are especially dreams are some of the most ignored and and disrespected ways that God speaks. And God's used me in dreams a lot. He's given me a lot of dreams. And so I wanna talk to you about dreams pretty heavily this morning. We're gonna go to Acts-10, and we're gonna be, like, digging out some truth out of this story.

But I'm gonna give you some back back understanding first. So there's a man named Cornelius. I love Cornelius. Cornelius is, like, 1 of my favorite, like, little minor characters in the Bible. Cornelius was a Roman.

He wasn't a Jew. Now if we're in the book of Acts, it means we're after Jesus' death and resurrection. So this is after this is very near after Jesus died and rose again. Cornelius is not a Jew, but Cornelius has a vision. And in the vision, an angel comes to him and says, Cornelius, because of your giving to the poor and your prayers, they've ascended to heaven, and there's an eternal monument before the Lord.

Like, that's a wild thing to say. Because of your prayers and your and your generosity, generosity, you have take like, God has noticed you. Man, that's why I love praying. He says, therefore, send for Peter in the town called Joppa. He's staying at Simon and Tanner's house.

Send for him there. He is gonna come back, and he's gonna tell you how you're gonna be saved. So Cornelius' reward for being seen by God was that he was gonna be saved, and he was showing him how to do that. Now we're gonna pick it up from Peter's side of things. Now these these guys don't know each other, by the way.

We're gonna pick it up from Peter's vantage point in Acts-10:9. I'll read from the screen. So the next day, as they went on their journey and drew near to the sea, that's they being those men that that Cornelius said. Peter went up to the house south to pray about the sixth hour. Then he became very hungry, and he wanted to eat.

But while they made ready, so they were making food, he fell into a trance. And so heaven opened, and an object like a great sheet bound to 4 corners descending to him and let down to earth. In it were all kinds of 4 footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air. And a voice came to him, rise Peter, kill and eat. But Peter said, not so, Lord, for I have never eaten anything common or unclean.

What happened when Peter and Cornelius met in Acts-10?

And a voice spoke to him again the second time. What God has cleansed, you must not call common. In other words, what God has made clean, you must not call it clean. This was done 3 times, and the object was taken up into heaven. Now while Peter was wondering within himself, what does this vision mean, which he had seen?

Behold, the man who had been sent from Cornelius had made inquiries for Simon's house and stood before the gate. And they called and asked whether Simon, whose surname was Peter, was lodging there. And while Peter thought about the vision, the spirit said to him, behold, 3 men are seeing me. The spirit said to him, arise, therefore. Go down and go with them, doubting nothing, for I have sinned.

Okay. Yeah. So so Peter is hungry, and they're making food. And so he goes up to the roof to pray. And while he's praying, he's taken into a trance with a vision of this of all these wild animals being brought down on a onto a sheephead.

And it is illegal for according to his Jewish law, for him to to eat any of those things. That's why he said, I've never eaten any of those things. But he was gonna voice from heaven saying, take and eat. Now does this not sound like a temptation from the devil? You're hungry?

You're not supposed to eat these things? But yet, it's coming from heaven, and it's like this this amazing trance while he's praying. It's very confusing. Okay? And and then he says, don't call anything that I made clean unclean.

Thing goes away. And now he's sitting there wondering, what the heck? And knock, knock, knock. There's a knock on the door. Okay?

And he hears the the Holy Spirit inside of him say, go with them. Sent them. That's it. Okay? Poor Peter never got his meal.

He got up and went. He was still hungry. You gotta notice these things. So Peter goes and meets Cornelius. Okay?

Let's let's I wanna I wanna turn to Acts-25:10 25 down to verse 25. As Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him. But Peter lifted him up saying, stand up. I myself am also a man. Did you hear, like, how, like, clunky and confusing this whole thing is?

Okay? Now when Peter is preaching so so so Cornelius asked him Cornelius tells him, I had a vision. The angel said you would come here and tell us how to be safe. It is illegal for Peter to even go into this man's house. Okay?

So now he's, like, going into a house is illegal for him, according to his Jewish law, to be in the house of a of a non Jew. And now that he's there, he's hearing this story, and he's kinda like, I guess I gotta tell this guy about Jesus. Yeah. Because, like, that's obviously what's happening here. So he starts to tell him about Jesus, And he and he and he preaches about who Jesus was and how he came.

And it says that while he was preaching, the Holy Spirit fell on Cornelius and his whole family. They began speaking in tongues, other languages, and they began glorifying God. And Peter's mind is blown. So I wanna think about this for a second. Peter walked with Jesus for 3 years.

Right? Hand and hand. Slept, ate together, worked together all the time, doing ministry together. And yet, somehow, he did not know what the "grand plan" of why Jesus came was. Right?

Why does God conceal matter and use dreams to communicate?

*John-16:7* says this, but very truly I tell you, this is Jesus speaking. It is for your good that I am going away. Because unless I go, the Holy Spirit will not come to you. But when I go, I will send him. Okay.

So I'm trying to put this together for you. Jesus walked with Peter for 3 years. Peter Peter was, like, thinking that, you know, Israel was gonna be set up over over everything. Once Jesus died and then he rose again, they're still asking him, hey. Is Israel gonna be, like, in charge?

You know? And he says, no. The Holy Spirit is gonna come. He he did not understand the grand plan. What was the grand plan?

That Jesus coming would be the sacrifice for our sins to open us up, to open the door to everybody on the whole world, not just Israel, not just a little nation. Jesus' plan was to get everyone's accept accessible to the father. Right? So the greatest amount of like, the the most important piece of information that's ever been given from God to any woman, which was the grand plan of why Jesus came, wasn't giving with Jesus in person standing right before Peter discussing it. Instead, it was given through an obscure dream, *vision* of of food coming down, an analogy that's happening, a coincidence.

Oh, these people are showing up at the same time here. I'm thinking about this vision. What the heck is going on? Let me go with them. I'm not supposed to do this, but I guess I'm feeling like I'm supposed to do.

So let me go ahead and do this. As I'm speaking, the Holy Spirit sign and wonder. Corinthians is bowing down to Peter. Everything's confusing. Nobody knows what's going on.

And then it hits him. Like, it's a revelation. It says it is a knee higher, basically. Then he realized that Jesus coming now opened the door for all the world. And Jesus says it's better that the Holy Spirit remember who uses signs, wonders, *prophecy, dreams, visions*?

That's the last days of language of the Holy Spirit. It's better that he come to communicate with you than me just tell you what's funny. Sometimes we just don't we just want God to just boom some audible voice and tell us what to do? Confused or wonder, girl, I'm not Lord, what am I supposed to do here? It's like, why does he do this?

This is this is how he does it. *Proverbs-25:2*. I don't have a good why, but I have a I have I have some I have something. I'll give you a little something. *Proverbs-25:2* says this.

It is the glory of God to conceal matter, but the glory of kings search out matter. See, God likes to play hide and seek. I don't know why, but he does. There's something about the process when he takes a valuable piece of information for you, like a prophetic word, and then he wraps it in a little kind of, you know, hidden box and kinda put some plants around them and sees if you'll find it. He likes to do this.

It's fun. Walking with the Lord is actually fun. Now why does it I think I think there's a couple reasons. 1, it requires humility. He doesn't speak to your mind a lot of times.

He speaks to you through these ways, and it requires you to go, okay. Just had a dream. I was in a boat rolling down. And the next thing I know, see an alligator swimming up, and then I have a book, and I woke up, and I'm like, I don't know what's going on. And it's like, are you gonna take that moment to say, hey.

How should believers honor and record their spiritual dreams?

Maybe this is from God, or are you just gonna go elsewhere? And just kinda not play the game. So he's calling us. He's inviting us on a journey. And I know it's on a it's on a strange adventure journey.

This isn't the Bible. *Job-33:14* through 16 says this, for God may speak in 1 way or in another, yet man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men while slumbering on their beds, then he opens the ears of men and seals their instruction. You see, God is speaking with his dreams, and we're missing them. There's a saying that pastor David uses.

It's what you **honor multiplies**, and what you dishonor dwindles. If you get a dream from the *Lord* and you honor it, you're gonna get more from that. But if you dishonor it, you the the way why would you continue to speak in that manner? Right? Why would you continue to receive the blessings?

So I started dreaming back in, like, 2019. I heard a message kinda similar to this where it was like, hey. We're missing dreams. Like, let's "pay attention to them" because they're important, God's actually speaking to them. And then the person in the message prayed over everyone who was listening, I'm like, yes, Lord.

I repent. I wanna do that. I wanna take my dreams seriously. And I started dreaming. And I started dreaming pretty frequently.

That that first year, recorded, like, 45 dreams that I had, like, written down or put in a voice record that I knew were from the Lord. A lot of which he ended up showing me what they meant. Some of them, I never really understood what they were. For example, when I was up about to move down here, my wife and I, we were looking at houses. We were thinking about buying.

We didn't know what we wanted to do. And I had 2 dreams. 1 dream was I was sitting in front of a computer, and I was I was looking at houses, and all the numbers were red. And I was like, I just can't make these numbers work. That's 1 dream.

Second dream, I have a dream and I go, and I meet a man who's, like, a prophetic voice that I follow that I've kinda followed at the time. And he says, oh, so I hear you're moving to Florida. And I say, yeah. Yeah. I'm thinking about moving to, like, Palm Harbor.

And he's like, oh, you should. And I'm like, oh, well, you know, or maybe Dunedin, Olismar, somewhere around there. And he goes, that was the dream. And I'm like, alright, Lord. So I'm supposed to rent a house in Baltimore.

Sure enough, like that week, he showed me my house. It's like fun. It's really fun. There was 1 dream I had where I just I I was thinking about partnering with someone for in my business. It was a doctor, and he I didn't even know him.

I had met him over the phone, and he was doing a little bit of he was performing some business for my medical weight loss business. And I and and and I was having some problems with the company he was working for. And *God* gave me a solution to the problem, and I knew I was supposed to create my own version of that staffing company and utilize it completely just to service my own business. And I got so excited, and him and I had been texting that day. And I went to pick up the phone to call him to to say, hey.

What are the three sources of dreams and how do they differ?

I've got the got the solution. You and I will partner in this x y z. The tiniest I'm telling you, the tiniest thought came to me like, "give me anything". Just give and I I knew it was from the Lord. Like, I knew the business idea was from the Lord.

So I'm like, alright. Let me just, like, slow down and let the phone down. At night, I have a dream. In the dream, I'm trying to give blood to a patient, and that doctor comes in, and he's like the beast from Beauty and the Beast. He's like a monster.

And he starts harming the patient while I'm trying to save Oh god. And I'm like, well, what the heck? Because I'm not partnering with him. And thank God, he things he was showing me things that I needed. I'm telling you, he's given me so many dreams, directional dreams, warning dreams, dreams to show myself, like, hey, you're missing this 1 thing.

Dreams about, like, what's gonna come. It's it's amaze so I wanna just quickly talk about dreams and, like, give you just a quick overview. And then what I'm gonna do is give a couple more stories. I'm gonna pray for you guys, then we'll be done. Okay?

So dreams. There's 1 of the main questions that we I get a lot of times is, are all dreams from God? So the short answer to that is no. Okay? There's kind of 3 areas that dreams sort of arise from.

1 would be we're gonna we'll we'll move from dark to light. Okay? 1 is demonic. Okay? You can have a demonic dream.

These are dreams like night terrors, actual presences of demons in your room. You wake up. You you feel the presence of fear still in the room. Maybe sleep paralysis. Maybe, like, lustful or sexual dreams.

These dreams are not from God. If anything, you can go ahead and ask the Lord later on, is there anything that I've done that would sort of have invited or opened this myself up to this? But for the most part, it's an attack, and you can just say the name of Jesus and cast that thing out of the rib. Okay? I teach people this all the time.

People that have especially kids, it's 1 of the most valuable things that kids can can learn is the name of Jesus. So that that you don't have to have fear. Fear is of the enemy, and you can say in Jesus' name, I have Jesus in me, you go, and the the thing will leave. Okay? So I won't get too much into that.

Science does not explain this stuff. Okay? I think in America, we constantly think like, well, you know, science explains this. It's not just our subconscious sort of letting things out or whatever. And it's like, no, science doesn't actually explain it.

If you look into it at all, we don't know anything like about the brain or about thoughts, or about visions. We don't. We don't. I'm a Bachelor's of Science degree. Let's just sum it up like that.

But, okay, so that's 1 place that they arise from. Next is natural or sort of like just soulless dreams. Like, the and and this is where I think some of that is true, actually, is that you just kind of you're kind of working off the day. Okay? *Ecclesiastes-5:3* says this, for a dream comes through much activity.

How do prophetic dreams differ from natural or demonic visions?

Okay? So sometimes when you're really busy and anxious throughout the day, you can just have a dream. It's like an unwinding dream. Maybe it's like it's kinda like 1 of those you wake up and you're like, man, I didn't feel like I rested. I used to have, you know, because I did anesthesia, I used to have dreams that, you know, I was working and a patient was waking up off the table, and I'm like, oh no, brush my meds, and I can't find the medicine.

You get down and you're like, oh, I'm gonna go to work? My gosh. Then there's prophetic dreams. And this is what I wanna I wanna take our time on. Prophetic dreams are from the Lord.

1 of the ways that I would explain this is that if your dream if if if there's a story, there's a storyteller oftentimes. So if your dream actually has some kind of story that you can generally retell, then it's probably there's probably a storyteller behind that, and that's the Lord in Matthew. Okay? Hello. They tend to be really vivid, colorful, detail, clear storyline.

You know, pharaoh's dream of 7 skinny cows eating 7 fat cows. A lot of us would say, what the heck, man? I had this weird Thai food lesson. But pharaoh was like, no. This is this is this means something.

It turn and it turns out God was going to give him the understanding of the next 14 years of the economic situation through a dream like that. You know? So that's why. So he took it seriously. We need to take our dreams seriously, And that's what we wanna do.

*Genesis-48*. Oh, I don't I don't know if I have it on the screen, but it this is this is Joseph in response. He says, we we both had dreams, they answered, but there's no 1 to interpret them. Then Joseph said to them, do not interpretations belong to God. Tell me your dreams.

So I wanna get into some dreams require interpretation. Okay. A lot of them do. It's very I would say probably maybe 4 out of 5 of my dreams need an interpretation. They're like a symbolic thing.

They're not literal. Okay? I'll give you an example of 1. I asked if I could share this with somebody in this room. I'm just not gonna say her name.

So someone approached me, and then she she said she had this dream, and she wanted to see if I knew anything about it. So she said, in a dream, she was in a house, and there was a woman who was a cook, and there was a man, and the man was kind of faceless. He was sort of the authority figure, and she felt like she belonged in the house, but it wasn't her house. Okay? So she goes over to the freezer in the dream, and she opens up the freezer.

And inside the freezer is her dog, "frozen in a suit", presumably dead. She closes the freezer. She goes back, and the woman is about to make, let's say, 5 burgers. Okay? And the man says, no.

Make 6. And she and she thinks to herself, the dreamer thinks, oh, he doesn't know that she's dead. But that's the truth. But she's telling me this dream, and I'm going, well and then, you know, typically you know, I didn't tell you about, like I didn't I didn't just know how to interpret dreams when I started. Like, I got prophetic dreams at first, and then I had to say, god, what what do these mean?

Like and I had to go on a journey to learn about it. But dream interpretations belong to the Lord. So the first thing you gotta know is it's through relationship with the Holy Spirit that you're gonna hear and understand what what what a dream could mean. It's not through a book or through through through symbols or or things like that Because it's an invitation into the hide and seek and the fun game that the Lord is playing. Okay?

What stories illustrate the power of interpreting dreams for witnessing?

So I sat and I listened, and I listened to the Lord, and I'm like, Lord, what does this mean? And the 1 thing I got was like, I just it felt dropped into my spirit was that man is God. And it's faceless. He's the authority figure. She's welcomed him in his home.

That man is God. So and then I kind of talked it through and walked it through and put it together. And I said, okay. I don't know what your maybe your relationship is with your daughter, but I think there's, like, some element of it where you think that it's day, like, that part of that relationship. But God is saying prepare a meal for her because she's not frozen.

She's what? She's not dead. She's frozen. And the Holy Spirit fell and she started crying. I started crying.

I didn't know why I was crying. Per usual. And and she said she said, my daughter became a Mormon a long time ago. And, you know, that put a strain on our relationship as I tried to share Jesus with her. And more and more and more, anytime you I would bring up God, our relationship got worse and worse till I finally just let it go.

But God. Right? It's so good. *Acts-1:8* says this, but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the hands of the earth. Right?

I found that interpreting dreams is 1 of my, like, best ways into witnessing for Jesus. I was at work 1 time, and 1 of my coworkers, it was kind of a quiet time, there was like 5 or 6 of us in the break room, and we started talking about dreams. She knew I liked dreams. And she said, well, I had a dream last night. And I'm like, oh, cool.

Tell me. So she's like, well, was in my grandma and grandpa's house, and the sun was setting. It was kind of a freaky dream, but the sun was setting, and and I was starting to look around because it was getting darker and darker, and I was looking for light switches everywhere, and I couldn't find where I could turn on the light. And and and and then, you know, it just got darker, darker, and darker. It was like a scary dream.

And I'm like and that was it. I'm like, okay. Again, same thing. I just kinda started sitting with the Holy Spirit and started listening. God, what are you saying about this?

And I typically get 1 little thing, and then as I sort of speak into it, I like sort of the the dream unfolds. And I said, oh, so you're in your grandparents' house, and it's the sunset of their life. Their time has kinda come to an end, but within themselves, they're unable to find the light. God is letting you in on this idea that they're they're that's what they're experiencing right now. And her "jaw dropped".

And she said she said, I feel like I'm talking to a psychic right now. I'm like, praise God. She said, she said, my grandmother has MS, and she's been getting worse and worse, and it's been I've been noticing she's been getting angrier and angrier and mad at my grandpa, and it's just been getting darker. I'm like, that's what the dream is. So then he said, well, God is inviting you.

He's giving it to you for a reason. Okay? He's for 1, obviously, he's inviting you to pray about it. He wants you to know about their situation so you can start praying and ministering for for them. And and and then, you know, you should go ahead and pray to God and say, God, what else?

Is there anything else? Maybe I need to reach out to her or something like that. They're listening from the Lord. Now, like, all these 5, 6 people, none of them know the Lord. They're all going, well, I had a dream.

I wanna I wanna hear. I I have a dream of telling me. It was like the power of the Holy Spirit came in. Oh, it's fun. It's just fun.

What practical steps should believers take when receiving a dream?

Fun stuff. So a couple quick things. With interpretation of dreams well, let me say this. I'm gonna pray for you guys. I'm gonna pray that the Lord would pour out dreams in this place.

Okay? For those of you who want to receive it. Okay? If you heard this message today and made you think, man, I, you know, I I do dream, and I just don't really pay attention to any of them. I don't do anything about them.

And you wanna change that. Or maybe you don't dream, and you say, oh, I never dreamed. I've, like, haven't dreamed in years and years. But you know what? This sounds kind of fun.

Go on this little hide and seek game with God, see if I can discover some incredible words of the Lord. Then the if you wanna receive that, I'm gonna give you a chance to pray. I'm gonna pray over and give you a chance to receive that. That's literally how I received it, and I started dreaming then in in 2019. But because dreams are gonna start being poured out in our in our congregation, I want to just give a little bit of, like, tips and advice and quick quick ground rules.

Okay? When you get a dream and you don't know what it means, the first thing I want you to do is write it down. Okay? And or just voice record it. I used to voice record them.

I don't know how I did that. It was cue in the bed because I'm sure that would've drove you crazy. But now I just now I type them down. Think I scared her 1 time because I'm voice recording. So so record them.

You're gonna forget them a lot of times. So part of honoring the thing is recording it, writing it down, and saying, I'll look at it later. Go back to sleep. Okay? Then I want you to ask God, what does this thing mean?

Okay? And for that day, give him a day to let you know what that dream means. Lot of times I had dreams where, like, that day God showed me. I had a dream 1 time. It was in September 2020, and Joe Joe Biden and Donald Trump were on a basketball court.

And I had a basketball, and I said, okay. The person who wins on the court is gonna win the election. And I do that to him. This was prior to the election. And then prior to all the, you know, this and that, fake ballots, going to court, all the court cases.

I went to that day, I read a book on fasting. And in the book on fasting, there's a dream, and it's a dream about basketball court. And he says a lot of times, dreams about basketball courts mean in the in the court, like the courtroom. And I was like, my mind was blown, and I didn't even realize, oh, whoever's gonna win in the court will win the election. I was like, what?

But God will give you an interpretation that day if you ask for it. Okay? And and so we wanna ask him. We're gonna ask him to to explain it to us and then give him a chance to. Then if you don't if you still don't know what it is and you're kinda, like, real curious about it, you wanna start reaching out reaching out to some of our prophetic team, especially if you have relationship with them.

What are the boundaries for dream interpretation requests and prophetic team sign ups?

But I know that my wife, Mariah, interprets dreams, and. I didn't ask him if I could say that. I want you to reach out to to Bar or my wife or Greg Doga or myself and go ahead and, like, let's "start a conversation" about it. But I can't take a 150 dreams a day. Okay.

So just so you know. So I want I want to pray a prayer of impartation. I expect that God will start pouring out dreams. This happened to my mom as well, by the way. When when she she said, haven't been dreaming.

She's hearing all my stories about dreams and getting excited. And she said, haven't been dreaming. I've never dreamed. I said, well, let's pray. I we prayed over her.

That that night she started dreaming. She started dreaming that only. She still has prophetic dreams now. Ever since then, it was, like, 4 or 5 years ago. It's like this this is how it works.

Alright? Lastly, before I pray, I'm the like I said, I'm the head of the prophetic team. We have prophetic team sign ups. No. Sorry.

Let me explain this. We have prophetic training sign ups in the lobby when you scan the QR code. If you are interested in learning more about the prophetic, if you want to start activating yourself in the prophetic and start doing that, it's a 6 week thing at my my MRI's house. You come over, and there is homework. Every day, you you get in with the Lord, and you do, like, a little activation to to start, like, propagating that gift.

Okay? Then we get together, and we prophesy over each other. We get it right. Amazing things happen. We get it wrong.

It's all good. It's a "safe place" to, like, be like, I don't know what I'm doing, but I wanna hear the voice of the Lord, and I wanna start offering to this stuff. So it's really fun. I said, like I said, we we test the words, so we it is safe. It's a good it's just a good environment.

So those sign ups open up today. It's gonna begin not this Wednesday, but next Wednesday. This is gonna be every Wednesday for 6 weeks. So go ahead and sign up. I think there's about 20 or so plus slots left.

But please sign up if you're interested in that or talk to me if you have any questions. Okay? That's gonna be fun. We have a prophetic team here. And just because you do the training doesn't mean you're on the team.

That happens over time and and through relationship. But but that that's the first step at least. Okay? So you're all invited to that. Okay.

How does the speaker lead the congregation in a prayer of impartation for dreams?

And that's it. So I'm gonna pray. So so let me just do it like this. I don't wanna assume that everybody wants to start dreaming because I think that there are people that actually don't. But if you hear this message and you say, I want them to partake in this, go ahead and stand up right now, and I'm gonna and I'm gonna pray over you to receive this gift.

No shame in if you stand up, respond or whatever. So it's all good. I just want you to do some kind of an act that says, Lord, it's me. I wanna burn this. Okay?

And then go ahead and if you would, just put your hands out like this because you're gonna receive something. Okay? So I'm gonna pray over you. I'm not giving it to you. God's given it to you, and it and you're gonna receive it from him.

So go ahead and look at him. Lord Jesus, right now, I just pray that dreams would be unleashed in this building, that the people that heard this message would receive your Holy Spirit and start respecting and honoring the last days language of the Holy Spirit that that that dreams, visions, and prophecy would come out. You've been speaking to us, and we've been missing it. Lord, don't let us miss a single word. Don't let 1 of your words fall to the ground in our lives, but let us catch them, Lord.

I pray, God, for more and more dreams over the congregation, and I pray that they will also receive the gifts of interpretation and that that people will grow in being able to interpret dreams and understanding and listening and hearing your voice for that for for what it is that those dreams actually mean. God, I pray that you would that we would honor you and honor the way in which you engage with us, that we wouldn't seek for some alternative way. But when you're doing something, we will look and say, okay. I wanna do it the way you're doing it. I wanna I wanna come under the way that you have chosen to to to to make these things happen.

So we we I bless these people today, Jesus. I bless them, and we just pray for some beautiful Mother's Day dreams and everything else. "In Jesus' name". Amen.
