Sermon — Rooted in Purpose - Part 6

Rooted in Purpose - Part 6

How can you partner with Jesus to change the world through your everyday sphere of influence?

You are invited to view your daily routine as a mission field where you can partner with Jesus to change the world. Start by working with excellence and letting your life serve as a living letter that points others to Him. Embrace the urgency of His return by sharing your faith in your own sphere of influence today.

How do we partner with what Jesus is doing on this earth through his model prayer?

Can we just lift our hands to the Lord right now? Lord, we honor you. God, we ask that you fill the room, God. It's 1 thing to say words, it's another thing for you to be present. Lord, I thank you right now.

Would you fill this room with the anointing of the Lord? We want your glory of heaven. Come. Wherever we are, Lord, in our walk with you, we ask for more. God, I need more of you.

I'm so weak without you, Lord, but I I need more of you, Lord. We've seen just the "tip of the iceberg" of what you've actually wanted for us to walk in inside the glory and the giftings and the callings. Lord, there is more. Lord, we lift you up. We honor you.

**King of heaven*, king of glory, let your authority* be stamped in this room today. Oh, God. I love you, Jesus. You may be seated. Oh.

About to be a mess already. Okay. Yeah. So honored to be able to share my heart today. Bear with me.

A little under the weather. I told some people today, I was like, I'm I'm going off of some cough syrup right now and the Holy Spirit. So just bear with me. But I I have this this message that's burning, like, because we we look around the world right now, and we can see that there's a need for more of Jesus. We can look on social media, which most of it shares a different opinion than the next person's social media algorithm, and everybody's talking about the same thing in a different angle because what you're being fed.

That wasn't on the notes. That must have been a youth group thought. Okay. But, that's that's the truth. Right?

Like, all everyone's algorithm that the world's feeding you is different than the next person. We're all hearing different opinions. And Jesus said, you know, end is near when there's gonna be wars and rumors of wars. Rumors of wars is all around. There's so much that's going on in the world, but we have to center on this 1 thing, and his name is truth.

And that is Jesus Christ. Amen. Oh, heard a pop, we good? Yeah. Yeah.

Last time I had to deal with a popping spirit, so we'll check it. Alright. So, what I wanna say is that Jesus wants us to partner with what he's doing on this earth. He gave what he's doing on this earth in his model prayer that your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. And, how do we partner with that?

How do we how do we live a life that partners with the glory of heaven filling the earth everywhere we are? It sounds like the world has to shift, and Jesus made a whole strategy and he said, make disciples. See, he could have had a throne in the sky right now where everybody could look up in the clouds and say, there he is, and everyone would bow to him, but that's not the path that Jesus chose to bring a change to the world. He chose you. He wants to change the world through his body, and and there's many elements in which he goes through inside of his his life, his message.

Because Jesus didn't call us to have make our faith casual. Our faith is not casual. In fact, there's no element of faith that is casual. All of it's a little weird. Right?

What identifiers did Jesus give his followers to change the world and be a world changer?

It's like, we have to understand like, there's not just some parts that are easier to grasp than the other. We believe in Jesus who was born of a virgin. We believe that he God who was he fully God, Jesus came fully Goddess and fully man. Like, there's there's a strangeness to this whole thing, but it's the reality of who God is and how *supernatural* he really is. We can't look at 1 element of the Christian walk and say, that's not supernatural.

All of it's supernatural. You forgiving someone, that's supernatural. Peace that passes understanding, supernatural. Every element of our walk with Jesus is supernatural. It's like I really can't imagine doing dishes these days without the Holy Spirit in my life.

Because I definitely don't wanna do those dishes, but they gotta be done. Jesus gave identifiers to his followers of what it looks like to change the world, to be a world changer. He calls us the light. He says, you are the Light of the world. And and yet, we we run away from our workplace because it's too dark.

But, what if you were the light inside of that workplace, and you you dispelled the darkness for just by your presence? Because when you turn the light switch on, you don't see the darkness continuously fade away, it completely vanishes. And Jesus, lives inside of you, believer, he isn't the light of the world and he lives in you, but are we putting a basket over our heads, not allowing him to shine through our life everywhere we are? And then he calls us the salt. What is the salt?

Growing up, I always thought this was a weird thing. He called us salt. But what does salt do? It preserves. It brings flavor.

It opens up your taste buds to receive more flavor for what is actually inside of your food. You as a believer, we are called to go into this world to preserve, to to bring flavor to life, to reveal God the created 1, The the creative 1. The creator, and we are creative beings from him. And then, he calls us to be an ambassador. What is that?

That means we represent Jesus. We are the representative of the kingdom of heaven. We carry an authority that's not of this earth. And, it's given through his name. See, when he says, pray anything in my name and it'll be done as long as my words are in your mouth.

What he's saying is, just like in the old days, there was a king and on the on behalf of King Caesar, they would give a command. And it wasn't the the messenger's authority, it was the name that he was carrying that gave jurisdiction in that place. Gave the command and the dominion to run with it. When we use the name of Jesus, it is the It is king Jesus, king of heaven's name that we begin to implement the kingdom of heaven in this earth. Oh, that's so cool.

He allows us to use his name. And then, we're called to be in a "living epistle". What is that? You are a written letter from God to man. Meaning what?

That means, maybe people around you in your life, they don't read their bible, but they'll read their local Christian. Because if you call yourself a believer in front of others, oh, now you're now you're being watched, now you're being seen. How are they gonna respond when conflict happens? How are they gonna respond when the boss gets on their nerves? How are they gonna respond when things just mess up in their life?

How are they gonna respond? How are they gonna respond? But, the reality is, we don't have to worry about the fear of man. I live my life in a with an audience of 1. The fear of man goes off when you actually live unto him and not for yourself.

We're a written epistle. We are a written letter to humanity. And then he calls us to carry his voice, God speaking through your mouth. We are the ones to give words of truth, encouragement, love, the gospel message. And we're called to be his hands.

Why must we start changing the world in our local neighborhood and dinner table before the nations?

Christ in you, reaching out to heal, to set free those who are oppressed. And, guys, I'm not even calling you to a "mission trip" right now. I'm calling you to your local Walmart. In fact, think of Walmart like your mission trip because it often is. We have to Before we can change the world, we might need to start with our neighborhood.

We might need to start at our dinner table. But he calls us to change the world, but it looks different for every single person, and it's gonna take all of us. It's gonna take all of us because there's only 1 of me, 1 of David, 1 of pastor David, and there's there's gotta be multiple in this city who share the gospel, and amazing that 28 salvations yesterday. But the beautiful thing is, they're not just a number, they're a name. They're a household, and those 28 people, that just created 28 house churches because they just became a priest and a king in this life.

Like, don't discount the power of sharing the gospel and people receiving Jesus, and the fact that there's a temptation from the enemy that downplays you sharing your faith. It's a temptation. You gotta see it as that. Because if the devil can downplay that your faith is not worthy to be shared, that your faith is to remain private. Let me tell you that Private faith is no faith at all.

You have to shine. You have to embody him. There's missionaries who are risking their life every single day, and they could be martyred. And there's many in the history books of martyrdom who are saying they've they were given the out. Would you reject Jesus?

Would you reject Jesus? And they still though Jesus is my Lord. And then they're they get their throat cut. But how many know that their name is written in the "book of life", and they're actually honored in heaven because of that? Come on, if we've given our life to Jesus, did we not also give him our death?

Are we loving our lives not unto death? Like, are we actually dedicating our life to him or is it just a compartment into our life? Like, okay, Sunday's schedule is crushing it. Sunday's schedule, that's my relationship with God. If Jesus woke you up this morning, he's waking you up on Monday through Saturday too.

And we can sing praises, we can sing songs all day, but it's not really praise until it's you in your heart actually living this thing out. This isn't weird sing alongs. Hoping we get a good vibe from it. This is the anointing of God we're pulling from, and that we need in our everyday life. This is a celebration.

This is a day that we walk out and get just have an understanding. We're sons and daughters. We're learning to walk in his authority, walk in his way, and that way is narrow. Some of you may feel like you're hitting a wall in your season, but I I heard this by many pastors in my life saying that, some seasons, you can't go into with the same luggage. The the path only gets more narrow as you follow Jesus.

So, the narrow way, we continually, we lose what's luggage. We lose the baggage because your past doesn't define you. That thing that happened to you in your childhood, you're not a child anymore. And the Blood of Jesus is so much thicker and more beautiful than that thing that is a guilt trip inside of your mind. That guilt consciousness has gotta be washed in the blood of Jesus.

Because you can't really move forward with true joy and true peace into the calling of God if you're still living in yesterday. If you wanna remain in the presence of God, you gotta be present with God. Don't go ahead of him. Don't don't stay behind, but go with the Lord. Oh, it's quiet in here.

We okay, guys? What's amazing is the apostles actually lived a life after Jesus died and he resurrected. And, they lived a life vastly different. Before Jesus died, they scattered. After the Holy Spirit came into their life, they remained, and they were all martyred for their faith.

There was a boldness that shook them when the when God came and lived internally. He made them their house. And, there was something that rose in up into them to be bold and change the world. And, the thing is, even the rulers of that day, the non believers in Acts-17:6, it says, these men who have turned the world upside down have come here also. Let that be said of us church, that where wherever we go in Clearwater, Pinellas County, Florida, The United States, the nations, let it be said, these are the ones who turn the world upside down.

How does the Holy Spirit empower believers to turn the world upside down and Count the cost of discipleship?

Get ready. I remember the other day, I was driving to the park and I felt in the spirit that something was about to shake inside of that park. And then I met this guy, I said, hey man, anything I could pray for you about? And he confessed sin to me. And I was like, woah, that was quick.

And I said, I'd love to pray for you about that. Pray for him about that, then he's born again after sharing the gospel. So, I don't know how that really is gonna change the direction of his life, but Holy Spirit's a big boy, he can handle it. And I'm a open vessel, hey, you got my phone number, you can reach out for disciples hip if you so desire more of God. Because that's the whole point is to make disciples.

Let me tell you about my friend Leo. There was a point after a long day of outreach, this was in Fort Worth. We were on hour 4 of outreach, and we were finishing up. I had some guys in my group who were finishing up. I went and sat in the car because we were about to go.

But then I saw this guy walking on the sidewalk, his name's Leo. But in my heart, as soon as I saw him, well first of all, I was really I was just tired. I was just honest, I think I'm done. I think I'm just ready to be done. Because, you know, that does happen.

You gotta you gotta fight that flesh. And so, what happens? I I see Leo, and I heard in my heart, suicidal. I just felt this impression. And so, definitely not ignoring that.

Let's get out of the car, let's go over there. I said, hey man, I just wanna share Jesus loves you a whole lot. Do you believe that? And he's like, hang on, I'll call you back. He hangs up on the person he's on the phone with.

I didn't even know he's on the phone. And I just said, I felt like God wants you to know that he sees you, and you have purpose in this life. He's like, what do you mean by this? And I said, when I saw you, I felt like you were dealing with a lot of heaviness and a lot of dark stuff. Does that make sense to you?

He says, yes, I'm actually out here walking. This is the fifteenth mile right now. I'm 15 miles away from my house because if I was in my house, I was gonna take my life. And so, told him, I said, Leo, if you don't want your life, why don't you give it to someone who does and pay the price for it? And he says, I I don't know what you mean.

He never had heard Jesus. He only had heard Jesus as a curse word. And so, he gets born again. He comes to belong that night. He goes through We welcome him through some forgiveness.

We welcome him through some deliverance. The boy's eyes completely changed to have brightness in him. Yeah. The next week, he comes back, his eyes are bright, he actually comes in with a hug, and he's like, this is this is different. I give him his first bible, I teach him what these these these words mean, and where to start, and he's just excited to have a new life with Jesus, but he had no context.

And I would say, even in Fort Worth, where that's the bible belt, it would be considered the bible belt in some areas. He had never heard the name Jesus except for out of a curse His life changed. He messaged me like 2 months ago, thanking me for that season I poured into his life, and was telling him that he's in such a better place now. So people's lives changed because of the gospel. So, it it costs something to be a disciple of Jesus.

Right? Jesus said, would you "count the cost" before you follow me? There's times I've there's times I've I've shared the gospel with them. They said, yeah, I want that. And I'm like, is this a sincere moment for you to be yet, to have a yes?

How do we distinguish between authentic faith and Christianity of convenience?

I always give them an out. Because if you don't you don't take the pressure off, then you they've been pressured in. And some of them are like, I'm not gonna lie, I'm I'm gonna go to a party tonight and we're gonna we're gonna smoke some weeds. And I was like, okay, so you need some more time and actually count the cost of this thing. They're like, yeah.

But if I would have never leaned in, we would have never had the sincerity, and we would have had a prayer said, and they would have a false assurance. We want real We want the real thing. We don't want "false encounters", we want authentic encounters. Ugh. If your Christianity is embodied by convenience, it's not the Christianity of the bible.

Christianity of convenience is not the Christianity of the bible. We must count the cost to follow Jesus and walk out in his way. Jesus Jesus was always about his father's business. Come on sons and daughters, we're we've gotta be about his business. The the business of bringing his kingdom to this earth.

In order to to do this, we must put off our preferences. We must put off our conveniences. We must put off our pride, our insecurities. These are things that we've got to shut off if we truly wanna walk the way. The way of Christ because it forces He It is the cost.

It's your your preferences. Yeah. Think about the prodigal son. Right? The prodigal son's preference was to leave his father's house and do his own thing with his inheritance.

But, how many people How many of you know that in Christ, and in in that story of the prodigal son, the father expected so willingly on the horizon, that moment he had a glance of his son returning, he rejoiced over his son. It wasn't a moment of condemnation, guilt, or shame. He was able to return freely. And he put a robe around him and he gave him a feast to celebrate. Some in this room, just like me growing up, I suffered with guilt, shame, and condemnation.

And then, I was in this cycle, this sin loop of sin. I would have grief, and then I would repent, and then I would sin again. I would I would be in condemnation, I would sin again. And then, my repentance was only if if maybe I cried enough, I'll actually be free. Maybe if I'm actually in enough sorrow, I'll be free.

Jesus says, you're a son and a daughter. You're willing to come back. And the difference is, I messed up. I better not tell my dad. To the relationship with Jesus is, oh man, I messed up.

I better run to my father. There's a huge difference. Because we receive mercy from him. We receive grace. And we when when we understand our sonship with him, then we can have true fellowship.

Because the Father loves Jesus, and Jesus loves us as the as Jesus is loved by the Father. That was a promise from the Lord. So we have a part to play because the book of Acts didn't end the story. In in the Acts-28, that wasn't the ceiling of the deal. The Holy Spirit didn't just get sucked back up in heaven.

The Holy Spirit is still in this world, still in his people. And let me tell you that the same Holy Spirit that fell in the upper room lives inside of us. I had this thought this week. I was like, Holy Spirit, I never want you to be bored in my life. I want you to have the full use of me as a vessel.

Like And that's just a thought. That's not a theological point. But I'm just Like, there's there's this thing of like, I don't want to grieve the Holy Spirit, and him actually wanted to make more callings and purposes fulfilled in my life that I decided not to. Because I was living in my own comfort and convenience, and not pursuing his voice in our in our day to day. And so, with the Holy Spirit, you gotta remember this.

He resides in us today, and he remembers how he raised Jesus from the dead. He remembers how he healed the sick. He remembers healing the lepers. He remembers how to do these things. He remembers multiplying the food.

He remembers how to turn you from death to life. Oh, let us not quench his spirit. The Holy Spirit lives inside of you. Do not quench him, and walk in your identity understanding you can be confident more in his faith than yours. Your relationship with the Holy Spirit is the way to grow in dependency.

The way to grow in the in the the dependency of the Holy Spirit is understand how much you need him in your life. That that you really thirst and hunger for him daily. So the Holy Spirit's role is to bring the kingdom of God into our lives, not only for our sake, but the person in front of us. Who's the person in front of us? It might be the person who's right across your dinner table.

What does the parable of the good Samaritan reveal about the religious system and the enemy?

It might be the person in your family. It might be the person in your school. It might be the person, who is your cashier or your waitress. But the Holy Spirit is to be revealed to every person in our lives. Let's not hold back.

Let me give an example of what Jesus brought up, and it's in Luke-10:25. Anybody heard of the parable of the good Samaritan? I'm gonna read some. *Luke-10:25*. And behold, a lawyer, this is a lawyer of religious law, stood up before Jesus, stood up to put him to the test saying, teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

He said to him, what is written in the law? How do you read it? He's asking that because he's talking to a lawyer. He answered, you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself. And he said to him, you have answered correctly.

Do this and you will live. But he desiring to justify himself said to Jesus, and who is my neighbor? Him saying, who is my neighbor? That was his way to find the boundary line of his love for 1 another. Revealing goodness, kindness to 1 another.

He was looking for a boundary line, so he knew he didn't have an obligation for everyone. So verse 30, Jesus replied, a man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers and stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead. Now, by chance, a priest was going down the road. And when he saw when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. So likewise, a Levite, when he came to the place, saw him and passed on the other side.

But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was when he saw him and had compassion. Then he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And the next day, he took out 2 denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, take care of him and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back. So let me give you context. It says that in this parable, it was the road from Jericho to Jerusalem.

Or sorry, Jerusalem to Jericho. That The name of that road was the road of which means the "ascent of blood". Why'd they call it that? Well, 1, originally because the rocks there were the color red. But 2, because there was so many thieves and robberies and murders on that road, it had a double meaning because there was actually blood that often was on the road.

So this is the place the victim was. Like, this is that sketchy gas station at 3AM. But I wanna share, there's there's 3 reactions here. The victim, 1, the reaction of the victim was he was just beaten and he left for and left for dead. Then there was the reaction of the priest and the Levite.

The priest was the highest religious tier. He likely avoided the victim to prevent ritual impurity because in the law, they were not allowed to touch a corpse. And so, for the sake of the possibility of this man being dead, it was actually out of convenience. I'm not gonna waste my time. I'm gonna keep pressing through, so I don't have to worry about my own convenience, my own status.

And the Levite most likely saw how the priest did it, and he followed suit. Because you can only disciple after what you're producing. Y'all hearing that? See, the Levites were the assistants inside of the temple. The priests were the the top 1.

So he was he was probably he followed the the suit of who he was walking under, but he he also prioritized ritual status or personal safety over the victim's life. They chose convenience over compassion. But the Samaritan's different. Jesus brought up the Samaritan knowing that in the normal Jewish storytelling, it it often talked about a priest, a Levite, and a Israelite. Just the average layman.

And so, Jesus bringing up how the third character in this is a Samaritan. Oh, his audience did not like that. His Jewish audience had some beef with the Samaritans, and we don't want beef. Oh, wow. Okay.

Alright. But his Jewish audience, they had some problems with the Samaritans. They they they thought that they they considered them half breeds because the Jewish people would they they were having relations with the the pagans. And so, Samaritans, they were still trying to worship God and even made their own competing temple in Samaria. And that's why the Jewish people didn't like them.

They thought it was a a compromise. But this parable is not just sharing a good principle about being kind. Jesus is in the story. Let me break that down because the gospel is actually seen in this parable. See, the victim is an example of the fallen state of humanity.

The thieves and the robbers were the enemy who came to kill, steal, and destroy. The priest and the Levite, it's the religious system that was broken before Christ. That religion itself wasn't helping anyone. Religion itself, it wasn't it wasn't doing what job it was supposed to do. But the Samaritan, who Jesus exemplifies, how does he exemplify that?

How should believers respond to the mandate to "go and do likewise" in their sphere of influence?

It Well, 1, he took the path of blood. He took the ascent of blood, Jesus did. All this was in the blood. And he was led by compassion. He took humanity in its fallen state.

He saw and he did not backtrack out of convenience or preference. But he came as a man, and he chose to live in his mother's womb for 9 months. And he lived among us, and he saw the state of man, he's like, they're willing to take the travel. They're willing they're they're they're worthy of taking the travel to me. So he took humanity in his fallen state, and then he provided a place of our salvation.

He bound up our wounds. He healed with oil and wine. Oil means it's a representation of the Holy Spirit. The wine is a representation of the new covenant. And then, he provided all that was necessary for full restoration.

Jesus "paid in full". Whatever this person needs, pay it in full. When Jesus died on the cross, he actually counted the cost. Like, didn't get a discount. Like, he didn't use a coupon.

He paid in full, and even more than what was probably even necessary. But like, that Jesus paid in full for everything, for us to know him as our father and us as his kids. He paid in full for not only us, but for the our neighbor next to us. Oh. So how does he respond with this lawyer?

Verse 36, which of these 3 do you think proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers? See, Jesus flipped the question. I don't know if you recognize that. Jesus flipped the case the question. The lawyer asked, who is my neighbor?

Trying to find the boundary. He was saying neighbor as a noun or an object, but Jesus asked, who proved to be the neighbor? There's a difference because Jesus was talking about neighboring as a verb, as an action. Who proved to be the neighbor? Verse 37, and said, the 1 who showed him mercy.

And Jesus said to him, you go and do likewise. How does mercy fall into this? That was the right answer. See, the Samaritan would have had every right to continue on his journey. Like I said, there was tension between the Samaritans and the Jewish people.

He had every justifiable reason to say, well, you got what you deserved and let's keep going. I'm not gonna wait long enough for me to get robbed. But, when we think about the Lord, how he could have justified not coming and saving humanity. He could have justified like, well, they messed up. Good luck.

I'm gonna keep doing my thing. But he so had mercy. He saw the fallen state of humanity and the potential of what we could be, And he decided to pick us up to provide a way on the path of blood, and provide a place of salvation, and healed us of our wounds, and anointed us, and given us that new covenant. It's a perfect demonstration of the gospel, and he says, I paid in full, and whatever's necessary for them to be healed, I'll do it. And then he says, he he gives a mandate to this guy.

He says, go and do likewise. So we must go and do likewise. We must go provide. We must be led by compassion. We must heal the sick.

We must bind up wounds and set the captives free. You were called to be a world changer. So I know that's a that's a big thing to put on 1 person. Like I said, it takes all of us. Because, your world's different than my world.

In in a sense of our sphere of influence, in our sphere of where we're at. Because where my world might be filled with 200 people, your world might be full of 50 people. Or it might be a 100 people. It might be 500 people. It might be 1000 people.

Like, what whatever that looks like inside of your life, your sphere of influence, what does it look like to spread Jesus everywhere you are and everywhere you go? What does it look like to just be obedient and led by compassion? So where's your key where's wherever your influence is, know that you carry the king. Because when you walk in a room when you walk in the room, recognize you carry Jesus with you. Like, when you go to the grocery store, what does it look like in the spiritual realm when you carry when a carrier of Christ walks into a room, walks into a grocery store.

It's like all the angels in heaven are like, here he's coming. He's coming. Like, who's What what prayer is gonna be answered in this city today? What prayers can we allow him to align up with for in a godly appointed appointment? A heavenly appointment, and allowing the heaven, the kingdom of heaven to come.

I think the cough syrup's getting to me. Alright. So what does it look like for Jesus to be in our everyday life? You know, I actually took a moment. There was there was times that I sat in the parking lot of a store, and I would just close my eyes, and I would imagine, what would it look like for Jesus to walk in here?

I would meditate on that. And then, I would have these certain visions that would come in my heart, or pictures of like someone's foot being prayed for. And I'm like, okay, there you are. And so then, I went to go inside and I looked for someone to pray for someone's foot. Pray prayed for someone with whatever the Lord showed me, because Jesus lived his whole life doing what he saw his father doing and saying what he heard his father saying.

And he lived his whole life like that. So what does it look like for Jesus to show up at your job? And let me say this, don't use a spiritual reason to do poorly at your job. Amen? Alright.

How should believers demonstrate excellence and urgency in their workplace while awaiting the return of Christ?

Don't don't use the "God card" when you're late to work. Be excellent at your job to the point where your boss comes up to you and he's like, you do amazing. Can I get more of you? And like, well, let me call my church. Like, hey, can you send more church people to my business?

Because I need more people who work with excellence, and they don't use Jesus as an excuse, but they use him as an act of worship inside of our workplace. Because when we work as unto the Lord, you actually minister to your boss and the corporations more than you realize. You go to the work workplace as a place like, Lord, if you were my boss right now, I'd do this as unto you. And you work so well. I know a guy that I talked to, he's like, yeah, I just When the boss isn't around, I usually open my bible and read it, and I get to do that about 4 hours a day.

And I was like, oh man, let me challenge you with something. What if it was actually more of a *minister* to your boss and went over your boss, if you actually did the stuff you're supposed to do without your boss watching. And he he got so convicted, he went the next day, he repented to his boss. And his boss says, no one's ever told me anything like that. I'm gonna give you a dollar raise because I can trust you now.

Alright. So there's a balance in that, right? Because there's a place where when I was working in my cubicle, like, I saw this guy squeegeeing the window outside, and my heart was tugged, and I could chose preference and convenience and waited for my break, but I was like, hey boss, can I can I take my 15? And they said, yeah. And so, I took my 15 at a time, definitely didn't wanna take it.

But, I went to go share the gospel and Skyler was born again after hearing the gospel. And so, what if you turned your workplace into a "mission field", but being excellent in your work? It's a "both and". It's not an either or. Work is unto the Lord, and honor your bosses.

So, does it look like for Jesus to work in your be in your workplace? What does he look like in the coffee shop? What does he look like in the gym, the beach, or across the dinner table? *Matthew-25:40, it says, truly I say to you, as you did it to 1 of the least of these*, my brothers, you did it to me. Whenever we take a moment and obey God, when we have compassion for another, we have to remember it's not even unto that person, it's unto the Lord.

It's not for the sake of just getting a nice story to share with people. But this is as unto the Lord. Like Leo was unto the Lord, and whatever we've done for the least of these, we've done unto the Lord. What amazing gift that actually is. And I'm here to tell you that our time is sore on this earth.

**Jesus is coming back**. And I think the lack of us being reminded that Jesus is returning soon has caused the church to lose its urgency. Now I know, I'm talking about the church as a whole. Real church, we we're going after making disciples. But let us let us have an urgency in our heart because Jesus is actually coming back.

Amen. And we are to proclaim the return of Christ. He is coming back, and he's looking for a **pure spotless bride** who is after his heart and his heart beats for souls. And it's actually his mercy that he's waited this long because he wants more in his body. He desires that none shall perish.

But how do they not perish? We have to be a sign that makes people wonder about the Lord. We have to get in front of people because I would rather offend people on this earth than they offend people before him on judgment day. So, let's not be afraid of the offense because Jesus is the "only way", the truth, and the life. Do we actually believe that?

So my final thought is in 1 John-2 1 John-3, 2 through 3. We know that when we When he appears, we shall be like him Because we shall see him as he is, and everyone who does hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure. The invitation. I want to invite you. If if this message has like been burning in your heart, like what I'm saying actually has been ministering to you, and you're like, you're right.

I I gotta I gotta be more like the good Samaritan. Jesus Jesus modeled out what it looked like to give up his preferences, his conveniences, his pride, insecurities. But man, if you want to be a world changer in starting with your own world, your own sphere of influence, I just want you to stand up and we're gonna pray. So go ahead and stand, if that's you. I'm gonna if you just wanna lift your hands out like this.

Lord, I pray right now that you would give visions, that you would give images, you would give impartations of what it looks like for Jesus to be in people's workplaces. For Jesus to be in people's workplaces, Lord. Oh, God. Let let this fear of influence come, Lord, have your way in people's homes. People that that that that coffee shops would be filled with the glory of God.

Every time we walk into a store, the presence of God draws people. Thank you, Lord. Minister to your people. In Jesus' name.
