You are invited to see your workplace as a mission field where God's glory is displayed through your daily obedience. Stop leaving your faith at the door and instead invite the Holy Spirit into your tasks and interactions with coworkers. When you surrender your work to Him, you become an instrument of His purpose right where you are.
Thank you. So as already been said, my name is David John Phillips. I have the joy and honor of getting to be the pastor here. There's no place I'd rather be. There's nothing I'd rather be doing.
I say that every single week, and I mean it every single week. I want you to know that. I'm very proud to get to be your pastor. Thank you for everybody that came out and helped us work yesterday serving the city. It was a "big deal".
And, I mean, I'm just I'm grateful for the the lives that were transformed. Someone born again, we had others that were served, heard the gospel. It it was a big deal. And once again, thank you pastor Ryan. Pastor Daryl Belarus is was my pastor and the first 1 that gave me a chance after I got out of the Navy to to work in ministry full time.
I worked at that church over 10 years ago and and just so thankful that we've kept in touch, had that relationship. And and not only did they send a team, they also sold $1,500 into our ability to to buy chainsaws and other things to help. So, yeah, let's give another hand. Relationships in the kingdom of God, relationships are a big deal. Relationships are the currency of the kingdom.
When God wants to get something done, he does it through people that are connected in the body of Christ. You will not accomplish what God's called you to accomplish separated from the body of Christ. Right. A lot of people say, well, I'm a loner. You can't be a loner and be an a full out surrendered follower of Jesus at the same time.
*1 John-1:7 says, if you walk in the light as he is in the light, you will have fellowship* 1 with another. Which means I get concerned every time I see a Christian that says, oh, I I can just follow Jesus by myself. I don't need the church. Because according to that verse, the person that's that's separated from the fellowship of the body is not walking in the light as he is in the light. So it causes me to start to get concerned because if, once again, if it's the body of Christ, then how can a finger be connected to the head and not be connected to the rest of the body?
Amen? So your purpose is found in connection to Jesus* *Christ through connection to the body of Christ. It's a vital thing, and there are things in you that we need as a church to be able to accomplish what God's called us to do. We will be incomplete without you being fully connected. But here's the other thing, there's things in us that you need for you to accomplish the purposes God has in you.
And you will be incomplete without being connected to the body of Christ. We have a saying around here, we say it like this. You're doing it alone, you're "doing it wrong". Because alone, we're ineffective and unproductive in the body of Christ. We're created to do life together.
Amen? You guys good with that? Okay. We also went through a storm the last couple weeks, didn't we? It feels like it's been a year since I've seen you guys, and it's only been 2 weeks.
But man, you know, during our dream team service, we just had the dream team come together and share testimonies of God's faithfulness. And God has been radically faithful. So maybe you're here because of the storm, maybe your life got rocked in a major way. I want you to know that Jesus loves you. In him, there is peace, and in him, there is joy.
And he will restore every area and ounce of your life if you will let him. 1 more little sidebar before I get into the message. The bible says, all things work together for good. Now there's a lot of people that just stop there. They believe, oh yeah, all things work together for good.
That's not what it says. It keeps going. All things work together for good for those that love him and are the called according to his purposes. Now he's calling everybody according to his purpose. It's not his will that anyone should perish, but not everybody loves him.
So all things don't work to good together for good for everybody. What does loving God look like? Those who love me obey my commands. He wants to work out every single situation in your life for good. Even the storms of life that you go through, even crazy stuff like losing your home in the hurricane.
He wants to work it out for good. But he's only able to work it out to the for good to the extent that you obey him in the midst of it. You can't you can't be disobedient and ignoring what he's telling you to do and put and and working out the wisdom of God that he wants to work into your life. You can't be disobedient and say, well, God's gonna work it out for good, but you're saying, no, ain't doing what you're saying. Does that make sense?
How does he work it out for good? He says, hey, go do this. Hey, get in my word. Hey, go go do this. But I don't wanna do that, but I wanna work out your situation for good.
Are you gonna trust me or you're gonna trust yourself as the Lord of your own life? Man, I want I want you to experience all of the good that he has for you, and it takes, yes, Lord. It takes surrender. It takes, I'm following you with every ounce of what you say regardless of what I feel. Because you're the Lord of my life.
I took myself off the throne of my own heart, and I put you as Lord on the throne of my heart. Which means even if I don't feel like it, I'm no longer Lord, you are. So I'm a do what you say and sacrifice what I want because I trust that what you say is better than what I feel. When you begin to live that way, then you begin to experience the storms of life working out for good. Because he's working it all things together for good for your for you.
Because you're called according to his your his purpose and you're loving him. Amen? Amen. So we are in a series titled The Glory of Living. We are in part 5 of this series.
Part 5 is titled Work. I'll explain in a little bit. First, I'm gonna catch you up real quick like, get us all on the same page, and then we'll dive in. You ready? Are you sure?
I heard about 2 people say they're ready. So maybe you ain't ready. Ready or not, here we come. Alright. *Glory* is the nature of a thing on display for all to see.
God put his glory in all of creation to display the aspect of glory that so that people can experience the that aspect of his nature. God said, in in Romans, says that his his nature is is on display so that people are without excuse because you can clearly see it throughout creation. All of creation displays the glory of God. But if all of creation is God's masterpiece, then that would mean that or all of creation is God's artwork, then that would mean that you are his masterpiece because you are created in his image. *Ephesians-4:24* says it like this, you're created in his likeness in true righteousness and holiness.
And in the NIV, it says, you're created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness, which means you're created to reflect the character and nature of God in your daily life. What is glory? Glory is who God is and what he does on display for all to see. Which means you're created to reflect his character and nature so that when other people see what you do and how you do it and hear what you say, it causes them to glorify God and want to know Jesus. The glory of living.
Now, we also learned this, that for something to display the glory that God put inside of it, it needs 3 things. It needs the right environment, it needs nourishment, and it needs time. You take a fish out of water, it's not gonna be glorious. You take a bird out of the sky, it's not gonna be as glorious as it could be. In the same way, the environment necessary for you to reflect the glory of God is God's presence.
When you live from and in God's presence, it is possible for you to reflect the full glory that he's put inside of you. You also need nourishment, which is the word, worship, putting into practice that word, and you need time to develop so you can mature and manifest the glory of God. Amen? We're the same page? Good to go?
Alright. So that's your update. Now part 4, work. This computer are part 5, not part 4. You're right.
Thank you, Jerry, for the correction. He keeps me straight. Work. This computer right here, it's a MacBook Pro, for a good MacBook Pro that will do a lot of creative stuff and stay up to date and for the next few years, really, it's about $2,000. You can get a MacBook for 1000, 1,200, 1,300.
You can get 1 for more, 3,200, depending on how many bells and whistles you put on it. But MacBook Pro is about $2,000. It would be a tragedy to go and buy a brand new computer like this to walk out and throw it in the garbage can. If I bought a brand new computer and I threw it in the garbage can, it would be terrible because all of that potential would go to waste. Right?
I'm going to go on a little bunny trail for a second. Are you guys okay? Half of my messages are bunny trails. I gotta shoot more rabbits. Okay.
As of this morning, there were over 36100000 abortions around the world year to date, January to this time. Abortion is premature termination, and premature termination is the death of potential, which is the destruction of glory. God hates abortion. Now side note, if you've had an abortion and you feel ashamed about it, there's good news. Jesus died on a cross to save you from all of your bad mistakes and to restore your life.
You can repent, which means I changed my thinking that that was okay. I changed my mindset about it, and I turn to you. And he can take that shame and and transform it into a testimony. So that now you can have a testimony of what God has saved you from and how he's healed your heart and healed your body, and then share that with others who have been through a similar situation or thinking about a similar situation, and it helped to heal them and prevent them from going through it. God wants to use you in that way, but it does take repentance, acknowledging that it's not okay.
Abortion is evil. It's premature termination, and it destroys the glory that God put in that little person. And here's the mantra that American culture and culture around the world tries to sell you, and this is how I know it's demonic. *Jesus* said, this is my body. I'm sacrificing my life for your life.
American culture says about abortion, this is my body. I'm sacrificing your life for my life. It's selfishness. So FYI, a lot of people say don't bring politics into the church. I I I will say, and I've I heard this, and I agree with it completely, that you are being discipled by what you listen to.
You are be whether you're listening to Fox News or CNN, you're listening to Taylor Swift and and, you know, all of this, you're listening to this athlete or this athlete, or you're to this preacher or that preacher, you're being discipled by whatever you're putting in your ears. And the church needs to infiltrate the government, the schools, the marketplace because those are the 3 darkest places in America. And those are the places that need the gospel the most. That's why that's why you come to church to be refueled and set on fire so that you can go into place, the government, and the schools, and transform them to reflect the kingdom of heaven. So there is an election coming up, and I just you can disagree with me and that's okay.
I really don't mind. But I will tell you this, as far as I go, I will never there's I will never vote for a party that champions an abortion as if it's a right and as if it's a health care thing because it's not. No. It's not. It's evil.
So I can't. And as far as I go as the election coming up, there's 2 parties right now. And in my in my estimation, I'm going to pick the 1 I'm gonna vote Jesus. I'm gonna vote whichever 1 that extends the kingdom the most effectively, the kingdom of God. And in my estimation, okay, personally, there's 1 party that better in the way that it is right now that better extends the kingdom of God That will help us to multiply, not just real church, but the global church around the world, that's not for abortion in the way that the other 1 is, and that that will help in that way.
And for so for me, in this day and age, I have to pick the Republican Party. Now, hold on. If that offends you, I I love you enough to say, ask yourself why. Yeah. That's right.
Okay? If the Republican party ever goes the opposite way and the Democratic party goes for Jesus, ma'am, I'm I'll swap. I'm not I'm not there's I don't have an idol. I'm looking for which is the most reflective of Christ. Now, if this causes you to say, well, I can't be friends with that pastor.
I can't talk with that pastor. I can't even go to that church anymore because because they're doing that. That's a problem. We need to be able to sit down and talk about it and ask why. And here's the truth.
Here's the truth. In every decision that we make, there is a right and a wrong. *Jesus* said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the father except by me. So in every decision you make, there is a right and a wrong, and there's a way that most that most reflects the life and the the truth of Jesus Christ**.
So for you, and for me, if we're on different pages, I would say, man, maybe we both need to grow in our understanding of who Christ is so that we can be unified on this decision too. So go look to Jesus. Go ask him about the situation. Ask him about the different things that are happening in our country. Look to scripture and make the choice that best follows Jesus as it is to your conscience.
And if you don't know what to do, follow me as I follow Christ. You trust me to be your pastor. Right? You okay? Are you sure?
Okay. So premature termination is the death of potential. And the death of potential is the destruction of glory. Let me ask you a question. What's the wealthiest place in the world?
You think, man, maybe it's Elon Musk's bank account. Maybe it's the diamond mines of South Africa, or the wealth of Wall Street. Maybe it's Washington DC, or the Kings of Saudi Arabia. No. The wealthiest place in the world is the cemetery.
Graveyards all over the world are places of "lost treasure", Unwritten books, unpainted paintings, unwritten music, unrealized dreams, unfulfilled hopes, unexpressed ideas, unrealized potential, unfinished growth. Every day, thousands of people go to their graves without ever having revealed the glory of God that he put inside of them. Remember, the glory is the full expression of the true nature of the thing, And many people die having having never expressed what God put them in in them to express. And if you're created in God's image, when you mature and you're expressing what God put in you to express to its fullest, you're revealing God's glory to the world around you. As long as you're alive, the possibility exists for you to reach your full potential.
God has given you gifts, talents, and abilities, and he wants you to use them for the good of his kingdom and for the good of people. Amen? Amen. *Ephesians-1:20*. It says this, you are **God's workmanship** created in Christ Jesus for good works that he prepared for you beforehand that you should walk in them.
It doesn't say that you will. It says that you should. Now, I just have a couple of thoughts about this, and let's go here. If God created these works for you before you were born oh, 0 my. According to the culture of the day, Mary would have aborted *Jesus* because she was an unwed, pregnant teenager.
Just think about that for a second. Ain't that tough? Anyway. Okay. You are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that you should walk in them.
So if there's good works that he prepared you to walk in before you were born, then that means they're God sized works. They're not you sized works. Right. They're supernatural works. They're not natural works.
They're works that require the power and the presence of God for you to be able to do them. They're not the type of works that require you to "lace up your bootstraps" and try as hard as you can. They require more than just you. Think about this computer again. If I pull it out of the box and I don't plug it into the power source, it is useless and all of the potential in it just sits there and nobody is able to experience the good that was in it.
It needs to be plugged into the power source and at least the battery charged if not staying there. Amen? Your source of power is Jesus* *Christ. You need to experience daily the presence and the power of God so that you can overflow and that anointing flow into the purposes he's created you for every single day. Part of the reason that a lot of Christians, maybe you, haven't accessed the potential that God wants you to walk in is because you've limited God's ability.
You've limited God's power in you. He's not gonna force you to walk in things that he wants you to walk in. It's a choice. So some of you, the reason that you're limited is because you're limited the power of God from flowing through you're limiting the power of God from flowing through you. Let me explain.
A car most cars have this device called a governor. What does a governor do? A governor limits the car from being able to operate at its full capacity. It limits the speed that the car can go. Some it's the governor's set for a 155 miles an hour, some a 135, some 90.
But it limits its ability. In the same way, a lot of Christians have a governor on their life that limits the power of the Holy Spirit in their life. You know what that governor is? Belief. Wait a second.
God's just not letting his power flow through me. Woah. Woah. Hold on. John-3:34 says that that God gives the the Holy Spirit without limit.
So the limiting factor is you. The limiting factor is me. Let me tell you what it looks like. As I get up here on Sunday mornings from time to time, and I share testimonies. Man, I shared about the crazy testimony of going to Pakistan and preaching the gospel to 47,000 people.
And over 20 20000 people in 1 lap are born again, give their life to Jesus. And there's over 18,000 miracles, instantaneous miracles, people healed, the lame walking, the blind seeing, people being delivered for demons. And there's a lot of people that sit out there and they say, woah. Hold on. Pastor David, that's awesome.
I believe that can happen in your life, but not mine. You're the pastor. You're the guy that travels the world and goes to those places. That's for you. And it will never be for you if you keep that attitude.
There's a lot of people that are limited, the governor on their life, from experiencing the power of God in their life and the purposes that he created them for is unbelief. The other way it looks is like this. People say, oh, I believe. Like, I share a testimony, and I'm I'm I'm sharing this on purpose. Like, you know, 2 days ago, I'm I'm on a run, and I'm praying, and and I run by these high school kids that are playing basketball.
The Lord tells me to stop. I have this thought in my head to stop and share the gospel with them at Highland, Rec. So I stopped. I said, hey, guys. You mind if I just take 90 seconds to share the gospel with you?
Has anybody ever done that? Yeah. Do you know what it means to be born again? No. Can I share it with you?
Yes. I share with them. The fourth 1, he said, oh, you already talked to me. I led him to Jesus 2 months ago. The other 3 I share with share with them, and in that moment, they're all born again.
Like, right there. 2 days ago, 3 days ago. Amen. Praise the Lord. But there's some people that are sitting in in here right now.
They're like, I believe that for you, and I believe that's possible for me. I believe that. I really do. But it's an American type of belief. Do you know what American belief is?
I believe that's possible. I believe that exists. Biblical belief is, I believe it's so much that I'm putting it into practice in my life, that I'm going after it. That's biblical belief. Even demons believe Jesus died on the cross and rose again, but not everybody confesses confesses him as Lord and follows him.
So, like, when you really let me show you what you really believe. Look, I love you. I'm telling you all this because I love you. Okay? Let me show you what you really believe.
What is it that you think about the most? That's what you believe is the most important in your life. What is it that you talk about all the time? That's what you think is worth talking about. Think back.
What is it that you talk about the most when you're hanging out with your friends? When you're hanging out with your wife? In different places, that's what you believe is worth talking about. Where do you put your money? Look at your bank account.
Where's the first place that you put your money? Where is your your money the most is it all towards you? Where where does it where does it the percentages of your money, where does that go? That's what you think is most important. Let's look at your time and your actions.
Over the last month over the last month, what you do, that is what you believe. That shows that that shows you what you really believe. You might want to believe other things, but your actions show what you really believe. Good intentions lead people straight to hell. Many will come to me on that day and say, Lord Lord, did we not prophesy in your name?
Cast out many demons and perform many miracles. And then he will tell them plainly, depart from me for I never knew you. Later it says, the 1 who built their house on the rock was the 1 that heard the words and put them into practice. The 1 that built the house on the sand was the 1 that heard the words and did not put them into practice. Both heard the words.
Both might have said they believed them. But only 1 actually did it. So there was only 1 that actually believed it enough to line their life up by it. Make an honest assessment. What do you really believe?
And then change your life to believe what you want to believe. Makes sense? You guys follow me? You okay? You sure?
I love you enough to tell you this. So when a MacBook is plugged into power, and it's being used to its fullest extent, and everybody's like, wow, that that works. It connects to my phone, it connects to my iPad, it connects to my my my iPods, my watch. I mean, it's just so so easy to use and stuff. If you're a windows guy, I'm sorry.
Who gets the glory? The manufacturer does. I mean, it like this. If you bought a new car, let's say you bought an Audi, or a BMW, or a Lexus, or a Lamborghini, a Porsche. You bought something like nice.
You get it home, you get it all waxed up and pretty. It's got all these bells and whistles you want to show off to, and you're driving and everybody's looking and looking at that car like it's a "head turner". Who gets the glory? The manufacturer. When something is operating as the manufacturer created it to operate, the manufacturer's the 1 that gets the glory.
When you're operating as the manufacturer created you to operate, God gets the glory. He wants you to live out every purpose he created you to live out. He wants you to experience the fullness of the life that he created you to live. It takes you walking in his presence, trusting him enough to obey him over time, and he will mature you to be able to do that. That's his will for you.
If you resist him because you're afraid or insecure, you're you're worried, it's dangerous. Yes. It's dangerous. Absolutely. It's gonna cost you your life, but you'll live a fulfilling life that will fulfill the purposes he has for you.
And your life will give glory to the manufacturer. Here's a crazy thought. I I I looked up the word vain. The definition according to Google is having or showing an excessively high opinion of one's appearance, abilities, and worth. But I don't think that's the the definition that I was going for.
Number 2, says, producing no result, useless. Producing no results useless. What if taking God's name in vain is not just saying *Jesus* with a curse word behind it, or God with a curse word behind it. What if "taking God's name in vain", remember vain means without worth useless, Is bearing God's name on your life, the manufacturer's name on your life, and not producing fruit. Claiming to be a Christian, but not living like 1.
Saying that you believe something that your life doesn't proclaim you really do. What if that's taking God's name in vain? Because the manufacturer who you claim to follow after wants to get the full glory of his name on your life. He wants your life to produce full fruit. That was good.
Amen? Amen. So how does God bring out the full glory of everything that he put inside of you? The avenue that God created to pull out what he placed inside of you is work. *Genesis-2:15 says this, the Lord God took the man, put him in the Garden of Eden* to work it and to care for it.
So the Garden Of Eden, remember, is the place of unbroken presence with God. It was the environment necessary for mankind to reveal the glory of God. K? We are supposed to live from a place of unbroken presence with God because of our relationship with Jesus. You follow me?
Make sense? Okay. It was in the garden where Adam learned his purpose. In the presence of God is where you learn your purpose. And his purpose was to work it and to cultivate it.
And then after he was faithful with where God put him and what God gave him, he was supposed to overflow and subdue the whole world and make it look like the garden. Okay. So here's the thought. You will find your purpose in his presence, and your purpose in this season, whatever season it is, is to cultivate the place that he put you. Be faithful with where he put you now.
Where did he put you? Your home, your job, and your church. Let's start there. Be faithful to work to cultivate the place that he put from the place of his presence. Cultivate your home, to work it well, to do whatever you can to make your home, your family, your relationships there flourish.
That's working it. Now think about this. The word work, the Hebrew word for work is the word abad. It means to work, to do, to make. It also means to serve and to worship.
So your work in obedience to the Lord from the place of his presence is worship. Doing the best you can with what God's gave you to work the place that he put is an act of worship to him. Amen? Amen. So work your home, make it flourish.
Work your job, make it flourish, the place where you're put. And then your church, make it flourish. Use the gifts, talents, and abilities that he called you to to glorify God to the best of your ability. Amen? Okay.
God created you to worship through work. Let's go here. When God told Adam and Eve to work, it was before the fall happened. It was before sin happened, which means work is not a product of sin, but hating work is. So God wants you to use your talents and abilities as an act of worship and quit complaining about your work, but instead enjoy his presence in the midst of your work.
What if you looked at your job everywhere that you go as the place that God is sending you? See, there's a lot of people that want to walk in the power of God, but don't want to do the work that God's called them to do. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is the power of God on your life to multiply. It's the power of your God of God on your life to be able to be a witness, but it's also the anointing of God for you to be able to do the work he's called you to do. A lot of people that are missing out on the anointing of God in their life because they're not willing to do the work that God called them to do.
The what I'm doing right now is the work that God's called me to do. And, man, I I believe that it's anointed. But maybe the work God's called you to do is not to be up here preaching. Maybe the work God's called you to do is to build your business, or to be a stay at home mom, or whatever you're doing right now. That would say that is the work that God's called you to do right now.
It what if you did that as a missionary everywhere every time you walked into the office, you saw yourself as a missionary for the kingdom of God. And you went in and you did your work as worship under the Lord, serving him instead of serving man. And so you went in and and you did your job better than everybody else because now you're anointed to do it supernaturally better than you could on your own. So you're experiencing the anointing and the power of God because you've shifted your perspective knowing that God put you there to cultivate that place as a place for his kingdom. So now, anytime that you bring worship anywhere, you you live your life as an act of worship, you're bringing the power and the presence of God to change the atmosphere where you are.
So if you saw yourself as a missionary at your job, just maybe the job, the mission field that you are, you begin to see the fruit of the kingdom there. Your coworkers would begin to give their life to Jesus, and your job would be blessed by the kingdom of heaven because your power his power and his presence is flowing through you. Then the marketplace would begin to see the anointing of God through your life and be transformed. That's how the church spread in the early days. It spread because they went the apostles went into the marketplace and began to minister, and the marketplace began to be transformed.
You're not second, like a "second class citizen" in the kingdom of heaven because you're not a preacher. It's just not your job. What if you did your job like you're anointed by God to do that thing for his kingdom? Everything would transform. And you would see his glory in and through your life more than you ever have.
Amen? Amen. Okay. So a couple of last things and I'll be done. So work is not sin, but to not work is.
*James-4:17*, he who knows the good that they should do and doesn't do it, that's a sin. *2 Thessalonians-3*. Now let's let's read 1 Timothy-5:8 first. It says, but if anyone does not provide for his relatives and especially for the members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. Now there are seasons of life where maybe you're in between jobs, that's fine.
But if you're actively choosing to not work as a man of your household, the bible says you've denied the faith and you're worse than an unbeliever. Men, "go to work". Men, go to work. Sure, there's a season of finding it and all that. I I get it.
But actively choosing not to provide. The reason it's worse than being an unbeliever is because God wants to use work to get his to to extract his glory out of you for the world to see, and you're choosing not to. Amen? So Colossians-1:29, Paul's talking, he says, to this end, I strenuously contend. I strenuously work with all the energy that *Christ* has so powerfully worked in me.
The work that God's called you to do, he doesn't hasn't called you to do it by your own effort and your own energy. He's called you to do it by the power and the anointing of God from the place of his presence and resting in him. When you do that, when you "tap into that", you will have more energy and see more fruit of the kingdom in your job than you ever have before. And I would just encourage you to do that so that you can say like Paul to this end. For for the the calling that he's given me, he's put on my life, I strenuously contend with the energy he's worked in me.
*Philippians-2:12-13* says, work out your salvation with fear and trembling. For God is working in you the desire and the ability to fulfill his good work. So God is putting his desire and his ability inside of you. Your role is obedience to work out what he's done. Last thought.
God wants to do, the Bible says, immeasurably more than you could ask, think, or imagine. K. So he wants to do through you out here immeasurably more than you could even ask or you could even think, which is your imagination. How? According to his power that's at work within you.
How do you get the power that's at work within you out here? *Obedience*. The supernatural results are on the other side of? So I gotta know how much he loves me. I gotta lean in day in and day out.
I gotta trust his word enough even at my job, not leaving his presence at the door. But but they but they don't let me minister in schools. But I can't share the gospel at my job. That would be looked down on. That's what they told Daniel in Babylon too.
And Daniel did it anyway. And it got him thrown into the "lion's den". And it got Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego thrown into the fire. But Jesus stood with them in the lion's den and in the fire. And on the other side of those things, they were promoted.
Are you willing to go through the lion's den and the fire or not? Following Jesus might take you to the lion's den and the fire. But if you stand with him, you'll see on the other side promotion in his kingdom. Maybe not at that job, but maybe at another 1. Now real quick, just practically, does that look like I'm not slacking off of my my work and my job to share Jesus with everybody?
No. It doesn't. It looks like you're doing your work and your job so well that they come ask you why and then you share Jesus. It looks like you're willing to take altar *ministry* to your break room. When somebody needs prayer for healing, you don't shrink back because you're like, this is my job.
I can't do that. But God God opens a door in conversation with him. You're like, hey, man. You know what? I saw something crazy happen in my church.
This person's ankle was healed, and I know your ankle's hurting. While we're on break, would you mind if I if I prayed for you real quick? Bring the kingdom of God wherever you are. My role is to equip you to do that. Amen?
Amen. Praise the Lord. I'm done.
