Sermon — The Power of the Gospel

The Power of the Gospel

How can believers obey the Great Commission with the power of the Holy Spirit?

You are called to preach the gospel not as a suggestion but as a command from Jesus. To do this effectively, you must rely on the Holy Spirit for empowerment and step out in faith to share the good news with others. Today, invite the Spirit to fill you so you can see lives transformed just like the early church.

How does the Jesus Year internship model communal discipleship and daily gospel preaching?

I've heard a lot about you guys from your pastors. And I've heard a lot about you guys from Jerry and Heidi, who are a couple of our Jesus Year interns. We have an internship called Jesus Year. And it's a a 1 year internship where people commit an entire year to to not only go out 40 plus hours a week to preach the gospel and to do discipleship, but they live communally for the most part. And and it is a wild ride, to say the least.

And so we have some of

the can can I just

have all the Jesus here interns stand up really quick? I just wanna honor you guys. Come on. I'm so thankful for this bunch right here. In the last in the last 7 months, just with 14 interns, we've seen 1,604 people make decisions for a relationship with Jesus.

To come into right relationship with God. And we don't do large scale events, as of right now anyway. We're just doing 1 on 1. Just sharing with people as we go. The way the bible said, somewhat to do it, I guess you could say, is we're just supposed to share as we go.

We live as full time Christians. Amen? Monday through Saturday, we're preaching the gospel, and we're we're just helping people grow in their personal relationship with Jesus. And God has been faithful, and we've seen many people come to the Lord. Hallelujah.

Well, this morning, I just have a question for you guys. Have any of you ever turned on a fire hydrant and tried to take a drink from it when it's on full blast? Anyone? Well, this morning, you have that opportunity. Because I was just in my daily encounter this morning, spending time with the Lord, and, you know, I said this last night, but so I just I'm gonna call him Jehovah Sneaky.

He he did a an audible on me. He had spoken to me about a week ago, this is what I want you to speak on Sunday. I'm like, oh, sweet. No sweat on that, Lord. I'm glad I got that.

I preached that before. And then this morning, he goes, and I want you to preach this. I'm like, oh, okay. So this morning, I'm gonna be talking about the commission, the source, and workings of the gospel. If you were at the make disciples event yesterday, there's gonna be a, maybe a tiny bit of overlap.

But I wanna ingrain it in you even more anyway. Alright? But I am gonna talk about the great commission this morning. And if you missed yesterday, you should have been there yesterday. It was a good day.

Saw 15 people born again in about an hour and a half, I think it was. God is so good. It's wonderful. But I'm gonna share with you guys a little bit this morning about some of the things I shared yesterday. If you have your bibles, turn to Romans-1:16.

We're gonna take off right now, guys. I got 20, 25 minutes, and we're gonna lean into this thing. Okay? Romans-1:16. You all probably know this passage.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the "power of God" unto salvation. For the Jew first, and then for the Gentile. I want you guys to know this morning that the gospel is power. And it's for every single born again disciple of Jesus to preach. And it leads to something.

And it is the only thing that leads to this, salvation. The *transformation* of a person from the inside out. It only happens through the gospel. Let me pray. Heavenly Father, *Lord*, I love you.

Why was preaching the gospel a command rather than a suggestion for the early church?

*Lord, where you lead, you provide. So Lord, you asked me to share what I'm gonna share this morning. I'm asking you, Lord, for the grace to preach this message. And I believe that it's here, because you said it, Lord. And I love you, Father*.

And I ask you today, Lord, that not 1 person would leave this building the same. Lord Jesus, no 1 came this morning to hear Mike speak. I hope they did in any way. Lord, we all came to hear you, Lord. And so, Father, I pray that you would speak this morning, and that you would minister, Lord Jesus, to every heart, mine included, Lord.

And that there would be transformation, that there would be vision casted, that there would be conviction, Lord. And that there would be impartation, Holy Spirit. Lord, we bless you, Holy Spirit. We welcome you to increase in this place right now, Lord. And I ask you, Lord Jesus, just to touch our lives this morning.

And I thank you in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Amen. I want you guys to know this morning that the preaching of the *gospel* was never a suggestion.

It's never been a suggestion in the bible. I think it's interesting. If Jesus had said, go and love your neighbor, and he did. We take that very serious as Christians, don't we? But when he says, go and preach the gospel to all creation, and go and make disciples of all nations, somehow we're like, well, you know.

I don't know if that's actually what he meant. Or maybe he wasn't speaking to me. Maybe he was just speaking to the the 12 apostles. Maybe maybe that's just not the case for me. But it's never been a suggestion.

It's always been a command. It's always been. And I wanna show something to you this morning about that command that I would propose to you the early church took very seriously. If you have your Bibles, turn to Acts-2:40. The book of Acts says that the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

*Acts-2:40-47*. And with many other words, he testified, speaking of Peter, he testified and exhorted them, saying, be saved from this perverse generation. Then those who gladly received his word were baptized. And that day, about 3,000 souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship.

I'm gonna say that again. They continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship. And I just wanna bring clarity to something this morning. I am not calling myself an apostle as I'm preaching this message. I say that just to bring clarity, because as I'm speaking this, I don't want there to be any confusion.

Okay? Everyone good with that? Alright. Love you guys. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. Now all who believed were together and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all as anyone had need. So continuing daily with 1 accord in the temple, and breaking bread house to house, they all ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart. Praising God and having favor with all people. Now hear this.

And the Lord added to the church daily. Everyone say daily. Daily. Daily, those who were being *saved*. How is it that believers were being added to the church daily?

I I'm gonna I'm gonna submit this to you guys, and it might be common sense. But it's because the believers were preaching the gospel. The believers were preaching the gospel. We live in a nation today that is not hostile to the gospel. Not yet anyway.

Maybe a little bit sometimes. But back in their day, that was another story. There was hostility toward the gospel. And if you've ever read read Christian history or studied that at all, pretty much every early church father that you can think of, every leader in the body of Christ, and even just the average church goer, were all martyred, pretty much. A large majority of them.

Church leaders in particular, all martyred, minus John, who couldn't be martyred. Alright? There was hostility toward the gospel in those days. So it's not like people were just walking by the church and being like, oh, there's a church. Let's pop in.

How did the early church live out the apostles' doctrine in their daily marketplace lives?

And I got saved while I'm in there. It wasn't happening like that. People were out in their day to day lives as they went to the marketplace, as they went to wherever they're going, they went to work doing whatever they needed to get needed to do, and they were preaching this message called the gospel. The the body of Christ had devoted themselves to the apostles' doctrine and their teaching. And I wanna propose this to you.

The apostles' doctrine and teaching was this, go and preach the gospel to all of creation, and go and make disciples of all nations. *Matthew-28*, verse 19 through 20, Jesus gives us the command. He says, go and make disciples of all nations. That's what he said. And if you keep reading through that, it says, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

And then he says something very powerful and key here. He says, teaching them. Who is them? The new believers. The the the new disciples.

Teaching them to obey all things that I have commanded you. And so, the apostle's doctrine was to obey Jesus' doctrine, which was go and make disciples. And so they were out as everyday believers like me and you, sharing their faith. They were not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. Because they recognized that it, and it alone, was the power of God unto salvation for the Jew first, and then for the Gentile.

If you don't know what a Gentile is, it just means you're not Jewish. They were obedient to this call. Romans-10:14-15 says, how then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace. Who bring glad tidings of good things. If you were at the Make Disciples event yesterday, and went out on outreach, can you just raise your hand? You have "beautiful feet".

I just want you to know that. You have some beautiful beautiful feet. Because the bible says so. Amen? If I saw your feet, might be like, Alright.

Nothing has changed. Nothing has changed from 2024 years ago till today. Everything remains the same. We're still supposed to commit ourselves to that same doctrine that the early church did. And that doctrine can be summed up, I believe, in 2 things.

Everyone say 2 things. 2 things. Number 1 is the great commission. And number 2 is the work of the gospel in a person's life. The great commission, which we're gonna talk about right now, and the work of the gospel in a person's life.

The *transformation* of their identity. From identifying in the world to being in Christ. And finding their identity in Christ. So what is the great commission? You ready?

I'm a turn on the I'm a turn in up the fire hydrant really quick right here. Alright? Jesus said in John-20:20, *John-20* verse 19 through 22, he says this. Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut and the disciples were all assembled for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, peace be with you. When he said this, he showed them his hands in his side, and the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

So Jesus said to them, peace to you. As the Father has sent me, I also send you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, receive the Holy Spirit. As the Father has sent me, Jesus said, so I send you. The you is you.

As the Father sent Jesus, so he is sending you and me. What was Jesus sent to do? I proposed to you he was sent to do 2 things, because the bible says he was sent to do 2 things. He was sent to **"destroy darkness"**. John, 1 John-3:8 says this, he who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning.

For this purpose, the son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Some translations say darkness. So Jesus was sent to destroy darkness. And I'll submit this to you, I believe that he did that fully on the cross. And the second thing Jesus came to do was to "seek and to save" the lost.

*Luke-19*, verse 8 through 10 says, then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, look Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor, and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold. And Jesus said to him, today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham. For the son of man has come to seek and to save that which was lost. Jesus came to destroy darkness, and to seek and to save that which was lost. So how do we destroy darkness, and seek and save the lost?

Just on a practical level. Jesus destroyed darkness at the cross. Would everyone agree with that? The *gospel*. Someone said it.

There it is. So if we wanna destroy darkness, then we preach the cross. And that message is summed up in a message called the good news, or the gospel. This is the great commission. This is what we have been co missioned to do.

The co is you and Jesus. We haven't been just been made co heirs. We've been co laborers with the *Christ* on a co mission. And we need to be in sub mission to the mission. The commission.

How does the gospel destroy darkness and make believers new creations in Christ?

And you and I have been sent as preachers to proclaim, to herald this good news of Christ crucified. And darkness having been dealt with at the cross. And the invitation extended to all of humanity, "come follow me". That was Jesus' invitation, if you didn't know. Come follow me, Jesus said.

And when we say, yes to this, and we're in Christ, we become new creations in Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians-5:17. The old passes away, behold all things become new. You guys have heard this before. Right?

But do you know what the definition of all is? All. All things become new in Christ Jesus. This is the destruction of darkness in your life, and in my life. Has anyone seen the gospel destroy darkness in their life?

I certainly have. He's delivered me from many things in my life, and he's still doing it. Praise God. And he will be doing it until I look like Jesus exactly. And I look forward to that day.

So we have been sent to do the same thing Jesus was sent to do, which is to destroy darkness. And the way that we destroy darkness is, we take up our cross, we follow after him, and we proclaim this message called the gospel. *Mark-16:15-16*. Jesus said to them, go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned.

Here's a practical point for you guys, stepping out into this ministry. This might be obvious, but I think it needs to be said. Jesus' first words were, go. We actually have to go and preach the gospel. Anyone ever hears someone give that term

in a I don't know if it's a term or

a quote or a slogan, preach the gospel and if necessary, use words. Anyone ever heard that? That's not in the bible. You will not find that anywhere in the bible. Preach the gospel means you actually have to preach.

The word preach makes means to make publicly known. To spread about news. You're a "newscaster for Jesus". I'm

not even gonna go there right

What practical steps are required to obey the command to preach the gospel to every creature?

now on newscaster stuff, but I need to stay on track. Here's another practical point for you as you step out, and you and you're obedient to this call of preaching the gospel. You don't have to share with every single person at Costco. Just share with the 1 person that happens to cross your path that you cast eyes with, and it just isn't awkward in that moment to share with them. If the person's carrying out, they they forgot to get a cart.

You ever did that at Costco? And they're carrying out, like, you know, tin turkeys, and they're just, like, going out, don't stop them and share with them. But the guy who's leaning against the wall with his soda, checking his phone, and you happen to be standing next to him, just lean over and be like, hey, man. I just wanna let you know that "Jesus loves you". Is there anything I can pray for you today?

It's really simple to not be ashamed of the name of Jesus. It's really simple to be a witness for Jesus. It's really simple to sow a seed into the heart of another person. And if you'll sow a seed in the heart of the person, the Lord will send out labors to that person to water that seed. And 1 of these days, someone's gonna reap that harvest.

But it all begins with the simple act of just sharing with the person in front of us. *Matthew-28*, Jesus said this. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, all authority in heaven has been given to me, in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even until the end of the age. Once again, he says, go.

Go and make disciples. Preaching the gospel and discipleship has never should never have been separated. But they have been in the church for some weird reason. I don't know why. It's always been preach the gospel, make disciples.

Preach the gospel, make disciples. We see it all over the bible. Preach the gospel, make disciples. This is the way that we destroy darkness, and this is the way that we seek and save the lost. The lost are not saved any other way than through this message called the gospel.

They can't believe on whom they've not heard about, And they can't hear unless someone actually preaches. And they can't preach unless they're sent. But guess what? You've been sent. Everyone say, I've been sent.

I've sent. Why? Because Jesus said, the bible says, as the Father has sent me, so I send you. So if you're sitting here today and you're like, well, brother Mike, I'm not an evangelist. Hey, guess what?

That's okay. The evangelist isn't the 1 who's supposed to go do it anyway. He's supposed to equip you. That's right. *Ephesians-4:11*.

You can read it for yourself. And he gave some to be apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. For the equipping of the? Saints.

For the

work of? Ministry. Ah. Amen. For the building up of the body of Christ till we all look like Jesus.

Why is the Holy Spirit essential for obedience to the great commission and discipleship?

You and I have been sent to preach the gospel. So the last chapter of John, as the Father sent me, so I send you. Last chapter of Mark, go preach the gospel to all the creation. Last chapter of Matthew, go and make disciples of all nations. Let's look at the last chapter of Luke.

It's 1 of my favorites. You ready? *Luke-24*, verse 46 through 49. Then he said to them, thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day. And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

And you are witnesses of these things. Behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you. But tarry, or wait, in the city of Jerusalem, or the city of Clearwater, until you're endued with power from on high. The command of Jesus was, as the father sent me, so I send you. The command of Jesus was, go and preach the gospel to all the creation.

The command of Jesus was, go and make disciples of all nations. And the command of Jesus is, wait for the power of the Holy Spirit to come upon you. Not if you feel like it, wait for it. No. Wait for it.

Once again, it's not a suggestion. And I would propose this to you. The reason it's not a suggestion is because you and I can't do the Christian life apart from the Holy Spirit. You and I can't be obedient to this call, this commission, this great commission, as we call it in the body of Christ, apart from the Holy Spirit. It's impossible.

You have to have the spirit of God on the inside of you to do this. You have to. *John-12:23-26*. I'm gonna call this a practical point that you have to apply in your life, in order to see the fruit of this all come to pass. And then I'm gonna talk very quickly about the work of the *gospel* that happens in a person's life.

And then we're gonna do an altar call. And people today are gonna get saved, and they're gonna get touched by the spirit of God. You guys ready? John-12:23-26. But Jesus answered them saying, the hour has come that the son of man should be glorified.

Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it produces much grain. He who loves his life will lose it. And he who hates his life in this world will keep it for "eternal life". If anyone serves me, let him follow me.

And where and where I am, there my servant will be also. If anyone serves me, him my father will honor. I wanna propose this to you. Jesus said, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it produces much grain.

I wanna propose to you that the grain is you and me. And unless we fall into the ground, the ground being the commission, the call, and we die. Jesus said in Mark in Matthew-16, take up your *cross* and follow after me. Unless you lose your life, you will not find it. What I just read says, unless the grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone.

But if it dies, it produces much grain. It produces a harvest. You and I, as the body of Christ, as disciples of Jesus, are called to plant ourselves in this great commission and die. And if you and I will die to ourselves, there will be a harvest. There will be a mighty harvest of people coming into a personal relationship with their king, Jesus.

But it only happens if you and I die. And the way we die is by taking up our cross and following after him who died. It's the only way it works. Well, I'll talk to you really quick about the work that the gospel does in a person's life. The foundation of the gospel is this lovely 4 letter word called love.

How does the foundation of love and redemption enable reconciliation with God?

*Romans-5:8* says, but God demonstrates his love for us in this, that while we were yet sinners, *Christ* died for us. While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. The foundation of the gospel is love. And because he loved us, there was grace extended to us. *Ephesians-2:8-9* says this, by grace you and I have been saved through faith, and that not of ourselves.

It's the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. It is by grace that you and I are saved. And because grace was extended, redemption took place. Redemption happened at the cross when Jesus paid the ultimate price with his blood. He paid the price for us to be "set free".

I love this word redemption. Redemption, if you were to look it up in the Thayer Lexicon, it says this, a releasing affected by payment of ransom. It's like you and I were locked and chained up in a jail cell, and Jesus paid the price for us to be set free. We're still in the jail cell maybe, but we're set free. I propose to you that everyone in the world right now, in their bank account has freedom deposited.

But they don't get to access the freedom unless they make a withdrawal. And they don't make a withdrawal unless you help them do it, because you have the message. The card, so to speak, that needs to be put in the ATM to get that out. But redemption, Jesus died for the whole world. It's in everyone's account.

And because there was redemption, we have access to something called reconciliation. Where we're put back in the right relationship with Christ. Right relationship with God. We've been given the ministry of reconciliation. *2 Corinthians-5:18* says, that we have received the ministry of reconciliation as though Christ were pleading through us, be reconciled back to God.

For God made him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. This is the gospel. *Reconciliation*. I wanna say this to you guys. I want you to hear me.

This is really important. When we preach the gospel, we're not pointing people to heaven. We're pointing people to a person. Because there's lots of Christians sitting in church today who are getting heaven and they're missing Jesus. Heaven can't save you.

Jesus can. Heaven can't give you grace. Grace is a person. His name's Jesus. The bible says, and this is eternal life.

This is quoting Jesus. John-17:3, and this is eternal life. That you would "know the only true God", the Father, and his Son, Jesus Christ, whom he sent. Knowing him. You look up that word, know.

It's the word, it means a progressively growing relationship. Not a, I prayed the prayer back in '64. I go to church every Sunday. Nope. Not if you're not in a progressively growing relationship with your Lord and Savior.

And I'm just gonna say this, you can't be your Savior unless he's your Lord. And when we enter into reconciliation with the Lord, we come into that personal relationship within, there's something beautiful that begins to happen in our lives. It's called remission. The remission of sins. Matthew-26 verse 28 says this.

What does the remission of sins mean and how does justification make us righteous?

*Matthew-26:26-28*. And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broken, and gave it to the disciples, and said, "take eat", this is my body. We just did this this morning in communion. Then he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, drink from it all of you, for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many, for the remission of sins. The word remission, if you're looking up in a lexicon, says this.

A release from bondage or imprisonment imprisonment. Forgiveness or pardon of sins. Letting them go as if they had never been committed. Remission of penalty. *Redemption*'s been paid.

The price was paid for a person's freedom. But there's a lot of Christians today that are sitting in bondage still, even though they've been set free. The price has been paid, yet they still got the shackles on. And they sit around every day and they're like, I'm a sinner and a failure. Jesus is angry at me and he's disappointed with me.

Not recognizing that he's not disappointed. He loves them. He paid the highest price for them. He cares about them. And he's and he's joyful over them.

And then what takes place is justification in our lives. Because he doesn't just remove our sin, but he justifies us. He makes us righteous. I just said it a moment ago, but 2 Corinthians-5:21, he made him who knew no sin to be sin for you and me. That we might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

He's made you righteous. He's made you pure. He's made you clean and spotless. This is who you've become in Christ Jesus. It's called justification.

*Romans-8:33*, I believe it is. Says, who shall bring a charge against God's elect? For it is the Father who justifies us. And when we've been justified and made righteous in his eyes, something beautiful takes place. It's called commissioning.

He sends us as he was sent, so he sends us. He commissions us by the power of his spirit. Can I have everyone stand? If I could have some kind of music or someone just play some music for me here. We're gonna have a a time right now of encountering the Lord.

Everyone doing okay? Alright. I told you it was a fire hose morning. For those in the room today who you would say, I know I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and I've seen the fruit of being born again in my life. There's been a fruit of *transformation* in my life.

I say this to you this morning. As the father sent Jesus, so he ascends you. You are called to preach the gospel. It doesn't have to look. You don't have to be the next Billy Graham.

That's not what I'm saying this morning. All I'm asking is that you would not be ashamed of the name of Jesus. That instead of saying God bless you to the cashier, you say Jesus loves you. And if you run out of that store after, praise God, you are obedient. Seeing someone get born again is not our success marker.

It's obedience to Jesus. And the only way darkness is destroyed is through 1 name, and it's the name of Christ Jesus. But you and I cannot do it apart from the Holy Spirit. I can't do it. Your pastors can't do it.

Billy Graham couldn't do it. You name any saint, any apostle, don't matter who it is. Alright? Peter couldn't do it. Paul couldn't do it.

Why can no one do the work of the gospel apart from the Holy Spirit and what does obedience look like?

None of us can do it apart from the Holy Spirit. I'll submit this to you, and you can disagree with me. And we can still love each other. Okay? I would propose to you neither could Jesus.

That's why he had to have the spirit of God come upon him at his baptism. He needed empowerment of spirit just as much as we do. We have to have the Holy Spirit. And so this morning, if you're here, and you're like, you know what? I know I need to do this, but my knees shake at the thought of it.

I want it I want you to lift your hands right now over this room. Maybe you're at that make disciples event yesterday, and you're like, I still need more. Mike, I need more of the Holy Spirit to make this happen. That's okay. I do too.

I'm gonna raise my hand this morning too. If you're here this morning, raise your hand if you want a touch of the spirit of God to empower you to do this thing. Alright. Keep your hands raised. I'm gonna have 1 more altar call.

If you're here this morning, and yet you heard me talk about the work of the gospel, and how it transforms us, that a price has been paid for you to come into a personal relationship with Jesus. Redemption has been made. A ransom has been paid for your life, so that you can know Jesus personally. And you want your past life to be forgiven and washed away, and a new life to come so you can be a new creation in Christ Jesus. So you can have the righteousness.

That just means to be right with God, right in his eyes. Have nothing between you and God. If you want that this morning and you're here, every and I just wanna say this before I make this call. Every person in the room has has answered this call. If their hands are raised right now, they've answered this call.

That's a lot of people in this room. But if you're here this morning, you're like, you know what? I don't know if I've ever answered that call. I want you to raise your hand, and we're gonna celebrate you this morning. Is there anyone in here?

Raise your hand if that's you. Alright. I think I see a couple hands. If you're here this morning, you raised your hand for that last call right now. We're gonna pray right now.

You're gonna enter into a personal relationship with Jesus. And as you're praying this morning, you're gonna feel the Holy Spirit who's in this room enter in. And your life will never be the same. And the same thing you did in my life, The same thing he did in pastor David and Courtney's life. The same thing he did in in in majority of the people in this room's lives, he's gonna do in yours.

Because he's not a respecter of persons. And he paid the highest price for you as if you were the last person on the face of the earth, he did it for you. This morning, I want We're all gonna say this together. But this is particularly for those who this morning say, I want a relationship with Jesus. I want you to say this.

Say, Jesus, I believe you came from heaven to earth, and you died upon a *cross* for me. Make me brand new. Forgive me of all my sins, of living for myself. "I give my life to you". From this day forward, I choose to follow after you.

Me with your Holy Spirit, and help me to walk with you all the days of my life. In Jesus name, amen. If you just prayed that prayer for the first time, I want you to raise your hand. Thank you, guys. I am so Can we celebrate that right now?

How do you enter a personal relationship with Jesus and receive a fresh touch of the Holy Spirit?

I'm proud of you. I only I think I saw 2 back there. I don't know if there was more. If I didn't see it, I apologize. Alright?

But I saw at least 2. And if there was more, listen, all of heaven is celebrating right now. And I mean it. It's in the Bible. It's in the Bible.

And I meant what I said when I said, if you were the last person on the face of the earth, Jesus would have did it for you. The bible says that Jesus leaves the 99 for the 1. It's all about you. He did it all for you. He loves you, and you've been brought into a family now.

And I'm gonna say this, you're as righteous as Jesus is right now. Not because you're so good, or because I preach so good, but because the blood of Jesus Christ is so good. It's all by Jesus. So this morning, if you raised your hand and you wanted a touch of the spirit, raise your hand again. Close your eyes.

The Holy Spirit's here right now, because he's always where the gospel's preached. Just begin under your breath, in your own heart, however you wanna do it, just begin to ask him for a fresh touch. "Come, Holy Spirit". *Lord*, I pray this morning. Lord, all over this room, Lord.

*Lord* Jesus, you have a room of people who have said yes to the great commission. You have a room full of people who have said yes to your command. This is a room of disciples. And just like in the book of Acts, when your disciples gathered, Lord, you would fall upon them. Lord, I ask you this morning, all over this room.

*Lord*, that you would begin to fall upon this room. That you begin to rest upon every single believer with their hands raised, Lord, this morning. Lord, that you begin to move inside of their hearts. That they would feel your power come upon them even right now, all over this room. In the name of Jesus Christ, **"Be filled"* with the Holy Spirit*.

Be filled right now. In the name of Jesus. Be filled. Be filled. Be filled.

Be filled right now. Be filled with the Holy Spirit.
